I bought a pair of these in the late 1980's (exact same brand). That pair is still holding up though there are permanent stains and one edge is frayed. So, I wanted new, presentable ones, especially when we have company. Couldn't find them anywhere. Hallelujah, I found them on Amazon. Same brand, same quality. They are thick, conform to your hand movements, and protect both sides of your hands. Another plus: machine washable. Yet another plus: Cotton does not ignite quite as quickly (though it will ignite, obviously), nor will fire progress as rapidly as it does with some synthetic fabrics, like polyester. I've tried all other materials, including silicone. I thought for sure that silicone would be best; they are not. Most other mitts are unacceptable to me because they are either too big (I have small hands), too stiff and non-conforming to my movements, or too slippery. I'm so grateful to have found these. I bought 2 pair. If they hold up as well as my 1980's pair, they will most certainly outlive me.

My previous kitchen hot mitts had seen better days so I invested in this 2-pack. I've been very pleased. They are larger than average (approximately 8" x 8") so are useful to place under larger skillets. They are thinner than my previous ones HOWEVER are terry cloth on both sides so they are easy for my (admittedly small) hands to grasp. They wash well. The dark grey color contrasts nicely with my kitchen décor. This set is a keeper.

I like everything about these pot holders! I ordered them in red as I love a bright splash of red in my kitchen. They are well made and have good weight and thickness. I previously ordered pot holders that have a silicon bottom and a red cloth top. I like them too, but especially like the terry ones especially when I need to carry a dish to the table and use it as a trivet under the dish. They are more attractive and I love the feel of them.

Selected these because I did not want a quilted design. Well made but fabric material has loop design. Loops can catch on any discontinuity and threads will pull out.

These mitts are attractive, simple, and get the job done. I love that the pocket design keeps my hands completely insulated from heat. They are machine washable, so I bought two sets and always have a clean pair in the drawer.

Some other reviewer said these pot holders were falling apart, but that is NOT my experience. They are large, thick and well made. They feel great in my hands. They are very similar to put holders my mother used in her kitchen -- even the blue color is the same. I am very pleased.

It’s soft, durable, and heat resistant. I can hold anything hot with it and it is easy to slip on and off, unlike a full glove. I love how it covers the whole hand to avoid oven rack burns.

I have been buying these potholders for decades and in the last few years can only find them on Amazon. My last pair are 2 years old and too stained to continue using. I ordered a new set and they are SIGNIFICANTLY THINNER than the previous ones. They weigh almost 1/2 as much as my previous pair. The quality does appear to be dropping. This is so unfortunate as these were the last remaining decent potholders! Other reviewers seem to still love their new ones, so maybe it's the color and they are still receiving older stock? Maybe they haven't used before and simply find them better than what they previously used? I have ordered Federal Blue every time and am very disappointed in these. Go back to the quality of the previous ones!

I have a similar pair of these I have used for years. They are wearing out!...I was very happy to find another pair! Dark colour is great!

The potholders are excellent quality..Nice and thick to use. They are an excellent replacement for ones I had , the same style.

I have never seen toweling pot holders for sale in the UK before. I have used them all my life and have bought them in the USA every time I have been there or have had a friend send them.. And now i have found these which are perfect. Toweling is by far the best material for pot holders. It is thick and has a flexibility that other fabrics do not have. It washes well I wash mine every 2 weeks and they last for a decade. These are thick and perfect and wonderful.Thanks Amazon for sending these. I have the green which is lovely.This is the perfect kitchen tool for me and i never want to be without them. they do last years and work better than anything else. I love them.
