Good trimmer; I am pleased with it
I like this trimmer a lot. It can tackle weeds, grass, and small bushes/trees up to the size of a #2 pencil fairly easily. It is easy to push and control. It starts very easily. I am happy with it. There are some things I noticed that I would suggest some upgrades to it though. After 1 use on less than an acre lot, the plastic shroud has some damage on it now with a large whole in it. I had to replace the trimmer twine quite often. That was really fine as I had purchased the recommended companion item of a large spool of it. If I had not had the additional twine, I would have only used the trimmer for 10 minutes. For 5 hours of trimming, I replaced the trimmer line about every 10 to 20 minutes. There were small bushes and trees that were slightly larger than a #2 pencil and these gave the line a tough time. I like it and suggest it. I think if people's expectations are correct before they purchase, they will be happy with this product.

Very pleased!
So far I am more than pleased with this trimmer. I am a 66 year old "farm girl" and got this mostly for trimming under my horse fences. The sicyle bar mower that I have used in the past is a bit too much for me now. I got tired of having to depend on someone else to come do this for me. Anyway, I had my tools already to put the thing together and to my surprise I didn't need them From "out of the box" to start up was only about 15 to 20 minutes max. The trimmer started with just ONE pull! It is light and easy to maneuver. I trimmed under about 1000 ft of fence already and the string is still in tact. Hopefully the performance will continue to be great. Only one little snag..the bar that engages the trimmer is not very stable. Maybe I am missing something on that end of it. Otherwise great!!

When clearing woody vegetation ease into the weeds slowly the string will jast much longer.
We have had a unusually wet fall and spring this created much weedy vegetation around the farm house. The sheep and llamas couldn't keep it grazed down. I was concerned about grass fires this summer and needed to clear several acres waist tall brush. The string trimmer worked great on grasses and ragweed's about as fast as you could walk. The pig weed iron weed and other weeds with 1" or so basal stem slowed the mowing down but did cut them down. This is a great product Thanks

Carburetor issue (seems to be the theme) on these.
07/2017 date purchased. I used this for 8 times and around 10 hours of total run time. Did what I needed it to do. Let it sit for a month before using it again. It wouldn’t start. Tried cleaning the carburetor but to no avail. It has been idle ever since. Went online and bought a new carburetor and it will be here 07/18/20. We will see....

Great Machine!
Excellent machine. First BIG (physically) purchase. Arrive on time and was extremely easy to set up. Instructions were clear and concise. As instructions said "pull once to start" and IT DID! Amazing. Have used it for a month and finally had to replace line. It was extremely easy to replace and I was off chopping up weeds! Best investment i have made.... so much better than hauling a weedeater around.Month later update! Still starts on the first pull! Have cleared a 1 acres of 2 foot high weeds without a hitch!

Disappointing durability
The concept is good - it does the job, and started first pull for the three times I've used it. The string is also pretty durable. However, the plastic deck and shroud on the right side cracked on the first use (up the side and starting across the top), which I mended with staples and tiny zip ties. The second and third uses, the front right corner of the shroud broke off, with a crack starting at a hole on the top. It simply needs a more durable deck or shroud. I thinks it deflects too easily, then the string passing by contacts and weakens it - I was using the string that came with it - so not too long. I shudder at the cost of replacing the deck and shroud yearly or more often. So I will probably have to trim back the shroud significantly and hope it doesn't disintegrate further. Uses were hay-type grass 2-4 ft high and some broader leaf grass 1-3 ft near my wetlands - no brush, no woody material.

Powerful trimmer
Works well in taking out fairly heavy brush. It wont work miracles so anything more than a 3/4 of an inch or so might chew up the trimmer cord before it takes out out the brush. I carry some spare cords when doing a big project. Replacing the cords is pretty easy but I usually need a pliers to get out the old piece. Putting in the new cord is really easy. Motor starts up easily.

LOVE IT HATE IT
Love itHate itLove how it starts first pull every time, How you can disengage trimmer and leave motor running, How easy it is to change line.Hate the plastic carrier plate that brakes if you bump it into anything and costs $40+ to replace. Look up Husqvarna 532180338 Carrier Plate and read the reviews on that part before you buy this machine, For me , I'm going to try to fabricate one that will hold up because I like everything else about the machine but for most that's not an option
