Pentair 520272 Replacement Temperature Sensor, 20-Feet Cable 12 Month Warranty

I have a Pentair system and the spa probe was reporting the temperature more than 20 degrees cooler than it actually was. The OEM equivalent to this is at least 3x as more and if this one lasts at least 2 years as the OEM did, well worth the savings.Simple replacement and there are videos on doing such. Just be sure to turn off the main power to the pump and controller before you start and remember to keep track of where the wire goes to in the controller box.Best,MJ

This thermostat looks to be very well made but it doesn't work with Pentair pool or Compool systems. probably works great for what its intended for but it didn't for me. I purchased a Thermostat from a pool dealer and it works great.

Fit and sealed as original. Temperature appears to be accurate. Too soon to judge durability. I am pretty sure that you CANNOT trim or shorten this cable. Coil any unneeded cable somewhere.

The probe size is larger than the original. Now I have to return it or drill the hole out and hope that this unit is the correct replacement.

Compatible with my Aqua logic system

I took a chance and bought this temp sensor for my pool controller as the original temp sensor was off by about 7 degrees. Unfortunatly I had no way to check this at cold temperatures until after the Amazon Term for returns expired due to moderate temperatures after installation, until this weekend. The temperature was ambient at 25 degrees F and the pool controller sensor for ambient air temperature displayed 40 degrees F. My pool freeze prevention is set at 34 degrees meaning that if I would not have caught the bad temp reading, I could have broken pool water lines. I should have stuck with original Jandy/Pentair OEM products - My Bad -- I'm now out $$ to replace and time to do it..
