MEEDEN Plein Air Easel: Portable Tabletop for Painting with Aluminum Travel Tripod and Nylon Carry Bag - Tripod Easel Stand for Displaying

I have now been using this setup for nine months. I have added glass (painted grey) to both the palette and tray for extra mixing space if needed. My Rosemary's brushes do not fit so carry them in a light plastic tube separately. Otherwise there is enough room for paint tubes, small bottles of medium and palette knives etc... I like the fact that different size boards can be used and positioned with space above the palette so my wrists are more free. I have taken it to numerous locations to paint plein aire and find it much more user friendly and lighter than my French box easel. Reviewers who have issues with the stability of the tripod need to tighten all the levers...the plate on the bottom of the box also needs to be well tightened using pliers. Then the box is super easy to fit and remove. There are also buttons at the top of the tripod legs which need to be engaged to lock them. I am delighted that I can now walk further to locations away from the car much more easily. I would recommend

It’s obviously not as sturdy as a heavier home based easel but this one is great quality and was perfect for plein air painting. It even withstood a little bit of wind. It was easy to transport with the carry bags included. Lots of space inside to carry your paints and materials etc. Also, I was really impressed with how easy it was to get the right level when on uneven ground. It’s just a simple case of clicking the lever on each leg until you feel it’s right. I’m really delighted with it.

This is very nice and looks good. Plenty of room for paints and brushes etc. tripod is sturdy. I’m happy with it overall but I find it quite heavy for traveling.

This product needs to be sturdy and steady when in place on the tripod. It certainly seems to be upon initial examination. Generally well-designed all-in-one unit.

Love the box. It’s lightweight and easier to erect than my old pochard box. It had a few Small scratches on which was a little disappointing but other than that all good. Speedy delivery and very well packaged.Good value for money and I would recommend.

Best purchase box ever

Robust box easel. Not as sturdy as a solid floor easel but once tightened in position is sturdy enough for canvas boards or stretched canvas. It appears however that it costs more buying the box and stand since Meeden also offer the product without a stand for significantly less and the screw attachment for the tripod is apparently a universal camera tripod fit. Tripods on here are from less than £20. Worth buying seperately. Overall though its a good size, holds a range of support sizes and has sufficient storage for several brushed, paints and mediums. It can also store wet paint palates and wet canvas boards.

Ottime rifiniture.Il cavalletto dedicato vale il prezzo perché l'aggancio rapido è di acciaio molto robusto, tutta la struttura è molto robusta e ben fatta,sostiene il peso della box che è circa 4 chili senza nessun beccheggio.Orientabile comodamente in altezza e inclinazione,ci sta tutto l'occorrente all'interno.La tavolozza estraibile è legno non verniciato, può essere personalizzata con una mano di fondo a scelta volendo.L'unica cosa che non coincide è il formato del cassetto per riporre le tele o i cartoni,in quanto pensata per i formati stranieri in pollici.Comunque eccellente come nox per an-plen-air.

J’ai acheté la boîte avec le trépied je suis déçu. J’ai eu l’occasion hier de peindre en extérieur et je dois maintenir la boîte avec ma main gauche pour pouvoir peindre avec la main droite. Sinon celle-ci bouge, pourtant le trépied était bien serré et câlé.Je vais devoir investir dans un trépied plus cher et de qualité

I cannot compare this product to anything since it is my first pochade, but it was not too hard to assemble it and the tripod is really well made, I do find the sturdiness a bit wobly, but I don't intend to knock it around, so it works good for me. The wood is nice and everything looks well mad... regarding durability only time will tell.

La placa metálica de la maleta no encajaba bien con el trípode y no ofrecía estabilidad.

This unit is ideal for those artist's who are on the move It is well made and has good features.... A good Pochade box at this price point.
