Very well made bamboo wood. Problem is the fastener. It is a 2 piece system versus the normal one screw down type. The toilet seat top keeps popping out from bottom fastener because of the lateral movement of the seat. Have had this a few months now and have had to reposition the seat a couple times already. Frustrating because you have to get down underneath the toilet to loosen the nut to do the repositioning.

I wish you provide a nut tightening tool for the installation with the toilet. Tho toilet is great, tightening of the nuts by fingers is difficult.

The toilet seat is high quality and looks high quality. I cannot say enough about this toilet seat. First of all there were no reviews for this product, so I was skeptical, I have been looking for a toilet seat for a few years now, I have been looking everywhere, Home Depot,etc..They were all awful, they looked like artifial plastic and they were expensive. This product is very good quality, it is all natural bamboo!! It isn't that artificial plastic look that looks awful and cheap!! I am very pleased with the product, good quality, and the look is so nice and not that thick plastic look that I see in all stores. This toilet seat is very good quality and not that cheap plastic look. I love this toilet seat. If you like a smooth natural look of bamboo for a toilet seat you will love it.

First, this fits my new Kohler toilet perfectly. The color is darker, richer than the pictures led me to believe, and my wife and I like that as it fits in with our other bathroom woods. It was quite easy to install, especially after watching the short video; I really appreciated the wee, plastic wrench which came in the parts bag. I like the ability to extend the front reach of the seat a bit. The finish is just fine; there is a bit of irregularity to the wood along the rim, but no big deal. The slow lowering feature of the hinges works as described. The darned thing is pretty comfortable on my bum, too. Yes, I would highly recommend this toilet seat.

Looks lovely, the soft close feature is great. However, the design is a two piece system with pins that hold the actual seat on. They press in and are supposed to hold, but they don't. Lean one way or the other and the seat pops. Have moisture on you legs and the whole seat will come away with you. Have repositioned it and tightened and am considering glueing it together. But really, I'm done with it.

Update to original review:After 5 months I had a problem with the system that let's you remove the seat for cleaning. The seat did not lock back I to the mou ting firing. It would pop off when I lifted it to pee. I contacted the seller. They were very friendly, replied quickly and after I sent a photo of the problem they replaced the seat with one that has the updated hinge that should be much more durable. Thank you for excellent customer service.Some reviews complained that it did not reach forward enough. I had that problem, then I realized that there are several mounting options on the plate that attached to the toilet. I was able to choose the one that made it fit perfectly. The bamboo is comfortable and even without using the snap off feature it is easy to clean the toilet because there is no rod going across between the hinges.

I actually live where it’s cold most of the year and I heard the wood seat would be warmer? The answer is Yes! And it added a cute look to my nautical themed home! I haven’t had it long enough to know how it will hold up over time. But so far so good. The material it’s made of is a little porous so it’s just different from the cold shiny stuff.
