Safergo Magnetic Phone Holder for Car Air Vent

This has been a pretty good product so far, The pads they provide for sticking to the surface you want to suction to work very well. The item itself seems to be perfectly strong for my S5 plus a case, I'm not sure I would trust a full-size tablet or I-Pad to it.It can seem a little loose sometimes but you can tighten it down, and the adjustability makes it possible to find your perfect angle.The air-vent clip is a joke, at least for me. Pops right out of my Camry vents, might work better in other vehicles.The sticky discs for your phone have pretty good sticky stuff on them, but my case has a textured surface and the disc fell off (while doing courier deliveries) after a couple days. I used superglue to stick it to the case because I didn't want it permanently stuck to my actual phone. That has worked perfectly and I get great use out of it now.It seems sturdy enough, but I will update this review (actually!) if it fails in under a year from now.I find it a good product and definitely worth the price!

Got this because I wanted an extended phone mount that doesn't bounce around like those spring style gooseneck mounts do.This came with a little sticky pad that's supposed to help attach it to a bumpy dash. It sort of worked but would peel off over time. Got dirty. I never got it clean enough again for use. So I ended up getting a hard plastic disc to stick to my dash. This sticks to it pretty well. There's not much travel on the suction cup between engaged and disengaged so it doesn't create much suction all the time. When it comes loose I have to really wet it down and give it 3-4 tries before it will finally catch good suction and stay put. The physical design is great. Adjustable elbow screws down very tight if you want, or a tiny bit loose like I do to keep it from fatiguing too much over rough roads. I route my charging cable through the arm hole closest to the elbow so it's always hanging ready.I have it set to either face me a bit for GPS use or can quickly re-angle it facing square forward for taking pretty stable dash cam style videos. The magnet is strong enough to cling to my Moto Z even when the phone has a rubber style cover on. Never tried with the Moto Mods but I assume they're metal so they'll work too. I did not need to use a separate metal plate stuck to the phone.PROBLEM: The round magnet pad has developed a bit of free play after about 6 months of constant courier driver use. Rotation distance is from 12pm-2pm on a clock face if that makes sense. Hard stop on each side. I have to attach to phone somewhat high on the phone for gps use and it will stay straight up due to gravity. For mounded cam use I have to put the magnet towards the bottom of my phone to see over the dash well enough, and then a bit to the side so the weight sort of keeps the magnetic disc pushed clockwise. That way it doesn't bounce around and try to rotate during turns.At some point I'll take it apart and see if it's something I can fix. Will update review if that's the case. Still very happy with this phone mount.

This works as advertised. The magnets are strong and holds my phone (Galaxy S6) in place very well. The arm and pivot joint lock down well. I have not tried the included vent clip, but it looks like the upgraded vent clip is the better way to go if that's your intention.My purchase included the dash/windshield mount, the free vent clip, 2 different sized metallic plates, and 2 gel sticky pads for use with the suction cup. The last part was a pleasant surprise, as the description actually states it comes with one.I did, however, purchase a separate pack of metal plates that are larger and the mount works well with them. I also purchased an additional sticky pad for use on a textured surface.. but I haven't tested it's compatibility with that since I don't need it because it came with 2.Overall, it's an inexpensive little mount which won't blow you away with features, but it gets the job done without any complaints.

Update, after my initial review, the company contacted me and let me know they were concerned about my unhappiness with the product. They were very willing to help fix the situation. Now that I have had this for a while I can write a review. Worked good for the first 8 months. After that it wouldn't stay in position no matter how hard I tightened the thumbscrew. Now it slides from side to side every time the car turns a corner. The only correction I have found is to position it so low that the phone rests on the dashboard to keep it from sliding. This only works in soft turns. If you make a sharp turn, it will still slide from side to side. If you plan on only using this item for 6 months or less, then you are good. Longer than that and you will have the same problem I do.

When I first received this product I was very excited with the quality at first sight. Within a month this product lost it's middle gripping and my cell phone could not be placed in the position I needed. The adjustable arm and 360 degree rotation described in the description really did provide the best view of driving. But, approximately a month later, the suction let go. Although this product is a 2-1 cell phone holder, the vent clip was not adjustable to my Jeep. The curve of the vents in my Jeep did not work with this product. I ended up just throwing out the product after approximately 4 months. I would not recommend this product.
