This was an impulse buy for me. I liked the concept of magnets. To be honest, I was initially looking for some hover tech lamp and found that this was a simple, cheap alternative. In reality, the magnets pull the string upwards and the string is attached to something that turns it on inside. The string itself is a bit cheap looking and I doubt will last too long. I don't really see any way to replace the LED strip once it is done as well. However, I do not regret purchasing this. The novelty of snapping the pieces together doesn't get old for me and the light is really bright. The lamp itself is pretty small. When testing it out, my cat immediately wanted to play with it and take out the ball and string, so I had to hide it in my office. Overall a good buy.

Purchased this as a birthday gift for someone who enjoys technology and name starts with a "C". Absolutely fun and makes a great nightstand or desk lamp.

This is the cutest little lamp ever! I love that it is more of a soft light, not harsh. I hate harsh over head lighting and needed a cute little soft light and it is perfect for that.

Sweet!The magnet-infused, wooden ball switch is just too cool. Especially if you have it near your sitting area, you'll find yourself having to give the balls a flick to get them vibrating.The light is bright, but not annoying. There is no dimmer or color adjustment: 2 features that would be nice here. But I've had it plugged in for a couple of hours this evening and haven't found it distracting or blinding.Quality of workmanship is on-point and durability will have to be determined at (hopefully) a far future date.Really digging this lamp and will keep it in my entertainment area.
