Easy to install
Arrived on time. No damage. Easy to install. We love the fact that it holds 3 bags (120lbs) of pellets. Have been using Home Depot pellets. No clinkers, very little ash , and alot of heat. Runs great. Turned the electric furnace off. Stove keeps house warm. We would buy this stove again.

BAD product, miserable customer service, inability to fix. Find another manufacturer. Pelpro just doesn't care.
This is junk. We bought one of these for my father's home about SIX MONTHS ago, and the NIGHTMARE appears far from over. Pelpro keeps sending us the same $5-10 worth of electronic assembly (that they sell for $43), and the problems continue. We now have 3 extras of the same assembly, beside the one installed in the unit and it still doesn't work correctly. They claim they got a bad batch of this part. Three replacements of the same part should have found us a good one, but not so.My father keeps the machine immaculately clean, but they try to convince him he has a a soot problem (How much of a soot problem would you have on the day the brand-new unit was installed?). He cleans it more often that the manual specifies, but the problem that they attribute to soot continues. We've had:"Lazy flames"Wild temperature swingsExcessive pellet feedingPellet feed failuresOn the day it was installed, we put in a bag of premium pellets and set it at a low setting for it's very first burn. It went crazy as though it was set on the highest of setting and started cranking out way too much heat. The flames were licking the top of the chamber. It was a scary experience. We were waiting for a replacement part already on installation day.On their advice:We've replaced parts.Spun the control dial back and forth over and over again (yes they told us to do that).Moved the temperature probe out of the unit and ran the wire across the wall. They really don't seem to know how to fix their own product.Meanwhile, they tell us the warranty period is solely based on the purchase date - regardless of the fact that the unit HASN'T WORKED CORRECTLY SINCE DAY ONE.Don't buy from this company, they are horrible to work with, and they clearly demonstrate that they don't care about their customers safety. You'll wind up looking for lawyers, like we are now, if you make this mistake. It really feels like they are trying to give us a runaround until the 1 year warranty is over. Don't buy from these people. It's just not worth the aggravation.

Keep everything clean and it runs like a top
I purchase through Menards. We are on our third year with this stove and have had no issues so far. Performing routine maintenance is key with this or any pellet stove. Keep everything clean and it runs like a top. We have a propane furnace that we have not turned on since we bought this stove. It does take some getting used to with the heat cycles, as they are wider than with other sources of heat. I set mine so it comes on around 67-68 degrees and it will turn off around 74 degrees. Putting the ambient air sensor in a good place is key, If it is on the floor or down low the stove will keep running and drive you nuts. Placing the sensor at the top of the stove and it cycles consistently and evenly. I love this stove and will be buying another for my shop. We live in southern Michigan in a very poorly insulated house that was built in the 1860's. In our 2 full years of use we have averaged 3 skids of pellets per year or roughly $600/year.

Buyers Beware Please Our friend bought this PP130 and we bought the PP60 - What a stressful nightmare
We did not buy our Pelpro PP60 from Amazon. We bought ours from Menards as well. We have had our stove for 2 and 1/2 years. We have had trouble here and there from the get go but recently it went to an all time high. For over a month now we have had a lot of trouble with the stove's fan and exhaust blower just randomly stopping. Then the fire goes almost completely out. After about a minute the fan and blower slowly turn back on sluggishly. Followed by this horrible smell that floods the house. Gives us a terrible headache and we physically feel ill. We have called them for over a month now. Each time telling us what to replace. First the control board they said to replace so we ordered the part. Received the part a week later. The control board was clearly used part with broken plastic clips. Put the part in anyway and the stove ran like it was possessed. Turning on and off after ten minutes. Not wanting to go over 68 degrees. Then shutting off at random. We called Pelpro back so they sent us a replacement control board for the replacement control board we just got. That made a difference for a few days then back to the way it was running before. So called Pelpro again this time it was the exhaust probe. Bought that , received it and put it in. A day goes by and starts running the same as before. Waking us up at night with that horrible stink, the stove struggling to run. Called Pelpro again this time it was the ambient probe. Bought that and a new dial for good measure. Received it and put it in. One day goes by and just like we have never replaced anything it runs like junk again. So we called Pelpro February 9, 2016. Told the customer service that everything they have told us to fix has not worked. They just said well then we don't know what to tell you. We told them they can come get the stove and take it back with them. Figure out the flaw before anymore unsuspecting customers by one and are treated like we have been. They said they do not do that. So we said transfer us to your supervisor. Somehow supervisor means "Head Engineer". Told him the same thing and he said well you are out of luck. We let him know the Pelpro stove is junk and he says well go buy a different brand then. That is when we told him that you would think they would want to fix their product and have a good reputation. Instead of having 6 stoves discontinued and only 2 stoves active on their website. If they keep going the way they are they are going to go out of business. The "Head Engineer" says well that is the way it is looking it is going to go. We always keep everything clean concerning the stove. Following the maintenance guide to the letter. We went over the manual again before we even called Pelpro to begin with. We were even were and still are confused because the stove is supposed to give you the error code so you know what to do. Ours never did so that is what also started the phone calls over a month ago.A friend of ours just bought the Pelpro PP130 three months ago. She is having non stop trouble. She also has had her stove turn on when it is in the off setting. The only two stoves that Pelpro has active on their website and they are complete junk. We do not ever leave the house with the stove on anymore for fear of what we won't come back to.Buyers Beware Please. This has been pretty stressful. We rely on people's comments to help us make smart purchases. We are only letting everyone know so they can avoid this stress. We have called everyone we can to look into Pelpro knowingly selling bad stoves and parts. They have this $500.00 off - Buyer Beware. Save your $500.00 plus and look elsewhere. A stove company that cares about the welfare and safety of their customers.
