ASICSMen's Snapdown 3 Wrestling Shoes

This Asics model runs small.
I use Asics wrestling shoes for weight lifting. I have use them on and off for years. I recently bought a size 8-1/2 wide, the size I take in everything I wear. When I got them I was surprised how small they were. I put them on and realized they wouldn't work for me. I sent them back and ordered a full size larger 9-1/2 wide. What a difference. They fit like most size 8-1/2 do. My point is be careful, they run small. I think going up a full size might be the way to go.

Wrestling Staple
We've used Asics as our go-to wrestling shoe and apparel supplier for over 15 years. They are comfortable, last the season and into the summer tournaments (barring a growth spurt!!)

Great for my son who has wide feet! They fit perfectly. No other brand has wides. Extremely happy

After a few weeks of use ……..
I purchased these to use for boxing and at first I thought they were very good they stayed snug, had nice grip and they didn’t unlace easily. The other side to that is the design of only have one side open and no tongue made putting it on at first a head ache. Now when using the shoes it feels like they are constantly pulling. I’m not as happy with them as I originally thought. Not bad for a skinny feet but a wide flat foot like mine it’s a no go.

I sure wish that "wide" meant "wide".
Asics wides fit my wide feet for years as a wrestler. 12 years ago I became a coach, and again, Asics wides worked for me. Now my boys have wide feet - more narrow than mine - but still an E-EE, and Asics wides don't even come close to being wide enough. They look to be ~1/3 - 1/2 of an inch more narrow than my 12YO shoes.

Sizing incorrect
The shoe size is listed as extra wide but they are only a D width at best.
