Childhood memory. I’m glad I can find it on Amazon. Bought these twice. For those who gives less than 2 stars, you don’t know the meaning of this tea. Yes, this is not a tea for royalty but more like a peasant tea. That’s why there are branches mixed with tea leaves and looks like just came out of the drying rack but that’s the beauty of it and the smells is heavenly. We are Indonesian from lower to upper classes love those peasant/kampung food, drinks, etc. It bring back memory of living in Indonesia.If you don’t want anything floating on your cup, you can use a teabag like in every 5 star hotel in Indonesia. If your tea is bitter, your hot water is too hot. So you complainers better learn the history behind this tea before you give bad name to this tea.

Distinct, pleasant aroma. Good body; moderately astringent aftertaste. Rich color almost like maple syrup. I am still experimenting with the best way to brew this tea because the product looks as if it came straight from the drying table with no further sizing or sorting. In addition to typical-looking tea leaves, the package contains a fair amount of fine powder along along with plenty of stems and branchlets, some over 1 1/2 inches long. You can pick out the big bits easily enough, but you'll need an infuser with a very fine screen if you prefer tea without solids. If you don't mind the floaters and the sediment, then no worries. Also, you'll want to have a storage container handy as this packaging is not for storing unused tea after it has been opened.

I was so happy to have found this tea. I grew up with it in Indonesia. This is the finest I ever had the privilege to taste. Relatives and friends here in California have all commented on how great it is and how they loved the aroma and have started buying it themselves. I say this to the makers of this tea: " don't change a thing ever, it is perfect, keep it just the way it is"

Love this tea! My friend introduced me to this tea last year, he grew up Indonesia and highly recomeneded I try it . I ordered my own bag and drink it daily now . I love the smell and the taste . It's great at all times of the day .
