The Pria 85 is the only premium convertible car seat that offers a first-class ride from 14-85 pounds. It is also specially designed to fit better in your car, allowing more room for your passengers to stretch out in the front seats. It fits your real life too. Keeping the Pria 85 clean is simple thanks to a seat pad that unsnaps and removes easily over the frame. There's no need to remove the seat from the car or to make complicated maneuvers with the harness straps. The Pria 85 seat pad is both machine washable and dryer safe. All this allows you to get a thorough clean not available in other car seats.

Buy it!
We absolutely love this car seat. Our daughter loves it too. It's super comfy & is very safe. I researched for months before we bought it and I couldn't find another seat that's better and won't break the bank. Actually it's very possible that the very expensive ones are not any better than this car seat. I like that the fabric comes right off when I need to wash it & at the same time stays super tight on the seat as if it doesn't come off. Size wise; it fits perfect in the middle of myHonda CR-V but i think it will fit fine in a smaller car. When my daughter falls asleep, her head doesn't fall, there is support for that & I loooove it.The belts are a little hard to tighten but once you get the hang of it, it won't be a problem. I am waiting for summer to see if it's true that kids don't sweat in this seat (fingers crossed). Overall I definitely recommend it!

Flame Retardants
I got this car seat yesterday. I have the Pria 85 Triangle Flow limited edition in beautiful turquoise blue model CC156DXF manufactured in December 2016. This review is about the flame retardant issues for the health-conscious moms like me and also the straps/buckles. I cannot attest to the comfort of this seat yet, or ease of installation because it is still in my living room. The fabrics.- the seat fabric is not plush and soft like the regular Pria 85 models. This fabric in the head rest is plush and soft like a cozy t-shirt but the seat and sides are thick-woven, and have a stiff-ish upholstery feel. Although I cannot really tell you what the fabric content is because it is nowhere to be found.- there is no tag regarding fire retardant treatment anywhere.- the seat is made of: 60% Polyurethane foam pad; 33% Polyester Fiber Batting; 7% Plastic Stiffener; the headrest: 60% Polyurethane Foam Pad; 35% Plastic Stiffener; harness cover (4 pc): 100% Polyurethane Foam Pad; buckle cover: 80% Polyester Fiber Batting; 20% Plastic Stiffener. So, besides the 2016 Ecocenter website's car seat review on Maxi Cosi Pria 70 in a Blue Base INFANT car seat, I guess there is nothing else out there that would state that this seat is low on flame retardants or free or the known harmful ones. I feel silly believing that all of their car seats would be like that infant seat. The fabric content list above is from the tag that is on the seat in the back. That is all! I read the whole manual that comes with the seat, and the promotional brochure that only advertises different covers you can buy for each Maxi-Cosi seat. I found no answers. And from that content list above it is obvious that they use the polyurethane foam. The foam itself is usually heavily treated with flame retardants because it is very flammable.I contacted Maxi-Cosi over the phone and got an email from Safety 1, which seems to be one of their daughter companies? In my phone call I have requested the outer fabric content for my model specifically, whether the outer fabric is treated with flame retardants and whether the polyurethane foam is treated and with what. I mean, the tag lists the content but does not specify whether it is for the foam, the outer layer or all together. The email response from Safety 1 rep (Dorel Juvenile Group) is as follows:Thank you for contacting Dorel Consumer Relations. The seat pad is made of a polyester blend. Dorel has set an internal policy that restricts or prohibits the use of many different FR chemicals in our children’s car seats. They include: pentaBDE, octaBDE, decaBDE, TCEP, TDBPP, TDCPP, TCPP.Currently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requires all car seat manufacturers to meet a mandatory flammability regulation before a car seat can be released into the market. As the global leader in child passenger safety, Dorel Juvenile provides car seat options that meet the needs of all families. We utilize a number of different applications for our car seats, all of which have proven to be safe. For the majority of our child seats, we meet the NHTSA requirement with a chemical application. For other child seat platforms we use a proprietary foam formulation that allows for a unique application in the blend of the foam. It should be noted that there is a premium associated with this type of technology.Through our association with the JPMA we are working with members of Congress and regulators at NHTSA to change the current requirement so that flame retardant chemicals would no longer be needed for children’s car seats. Until then, we continue to update our internal policies, evaluate new and changing technologies and remain committed to care for precious life.As of right now I am frustrated and upset. I did a lot of research on the car seat only for it to come to this. I emailed them back and asked again my specific questions, plus, also a question regarding breathability of this particular fabric on this model because I have a sweaty baby - since the reputation of Maxi Cosi seats is that they are quite breathable/low sweat, I had to double check at this point for this model as well. The buckles/straps.In regards to other issues people have with straps - I didn't have any. They tighten just fine. The crotch buckle release button is very tough though, and just like when at Babie R Us floor model (different color, regular edition of Pria 85), this model is also very tough to undo with one hand. My fiancé has strong fingers and he had no issues, but I have to grab it with both hands and very firmly press with my thumbs on the red button for it to release the buckles. Not a complaint but a nuisance none the less because it will be tough to do from any angle while in the car.My 2-year old seems to like sitting in this seat but it was only at home on the floor. I have not installed it yet because I want to return it.The good stuff.I checked to see how easy it will be to remove the cover and it seems it is very easy. Just un-snap stuff and that's it. The color is very beautiful! There is no smell to the seat at all. The seat is light! I am a small woman with no muscle and I was able to easily move the giant box from my porch into my house. I have no problem lifting the seat either, although I would not want to carry it for long.8/9/17 Update:Their customer service is ridiculous. I have not received any answer to my follow-up questions. In fact, I logged into their customer service portal and sent another email, to which I have not gotten any reply.I have not received any reply from Albee Baby regarding the return either. So I honestly, gave up. I decided to keep the seat.I washed the covers and the removal/putting back were easy. Not super-easy, but easy enough - you just pull the whole thing off, and the head rest cover pulls right off separately. You don't have to re-thread the straps which is a plus. I washed it in cold water with dish soap and a vinegar rinse in attempt to wash off those flame retardants. Laid the 2 cover pieces flat in the sun to dry. Noting shrunk. I did have to run the main seat cover through double rinse cycle in addition to regular wash because the dish soap residue was still left on the fabric. It was as if the fabric is stain resistant which is a good thing from a busy mom perspective, but not good from a health fanatic mom perspective. I still have no clue what that seat cover is treated with. This might be a positive point for everyone who has tried or had regular Pria 70 or 85 where the super-plush covers stain like crazy from anything. Once, again, the man seat cover is not plush, but, more of a regular thick-woven stiff-ish fabric.I may try to do another update once we install the seat and see if my daughter sweats in it and how she likes it compared to our Chicco Next Fit (which I bought before I knew all the horrors about flame retardants).

Good seat but heavy and hard to tighten straps.
We like the seat and it’s color. It’s not very soft however. It also is extremely difficult to tighten the straps enough, it actually hurts out hands getting hem tight enough. And it isn’t just an issue with this seat. We have 3, all different colors (one for each car) and all of them are this way. It’s also heavy so definitely wouldn’t be good to travel with. Instillation was a breeze and I haven’t found it difficult to install in any of the three cars. Our fourth car has a Graco and the straps were much easier to tighten, it’s softer, and is the cheapest seat. Wishing we would have gotten more of those instead.

Straps are impossibly harden to tighten
I didn't like this seat when my son was rearfacing in it because you had to really put your weight into it to pull the straps tight enough. We would literally bounce the car up and down trying to get it tight enough. And now that he's forward facing I can't tighten it myself. My husband has to do it and he can only get it tight enough by taking the head rest out of the front seat and then leaning over while pulling on the strap. Never again are we getting a Maxi Cosi seat.

Great seat, and love the custom fabric.
We couldn't recommend this car seat more. We already have a Pria 70, and knew that we wanted another Pria for our second daughter. Importantly, ordering the seat through this Amazon vendor allowed us to get it with the custom "triangle flow" fabric, which we love. The only thing we would note about the Pria series is that it is larger than most car seats. In our SUV, that works just fine, and our girls seem very comfortable in the seats. But if you have a smaller car, the Pria may be a little large.

Wiggles, twisted belts
Wiggles even being attached, great fabric but came a little rinkled and with some loose threads, which makes it look cheap. The belts get twisted very easy. I still have an infant's car seat (Baby Trend) and the belts never twist. Because of all of that, I would not pay more than 100 for it, and just because of the good looking.Bought mine to Arbee baby.

Great car seat for long term use
Great car seat! It is a bit big but I love the fact that my daughter can use it up to 85lbs. The adjustments are easy to make and it’s easy to install.
