Simple and functional
This is a nice tool to have available if you get stuck with the task of converting old family photos. I've often gone through a miserable amount of photos only to find that they were all blurry or were of some parade or other that no one wants to see. This thing lets me easily preview negatives and slides so I can tell if they are worth going through the trouble of scanning.It's simple but works well.

simple and effective
very simple premise.... if u have 35mm film and want to view it quicklyand hate putting a loupe to the light box, this product works very welllighting is good, not great, but at this price point, its excellent...hard to find much wrong with this simple productwill be sorting through a lifetime of slides...recommended...

Get the popcorn ready!!
If you have old slides, you're really going to love this. I made a video demonstrating just how easy it is to see your old negatives. Well, that's nothing in comparison to viewing slides on this! See the above picture in color? That's how a slide looks through this! My parents have so many old slides but we haven't watched them in years as it would require setting up a projector and that's just so troublesome. But now it's so easy to view these slides. The magnification is 3x. It'd be even better if this would allow you to zoom in & zoom out, but it's still great as it and I would gladly recommend it.

Didn't Work With Batteries
Mine didn't come with a USB cable and it didn't work with batteries. I tried brand new batteries but it didn't work. I thought I got bad batteries so went and bought new ones and it still wouldn't power on. I found a cable that fit fairly well and was able to turn it on and it worked. I enjoyed looking at negatives through it !

Great for slides
I have a lot of old slides I had passed down to me from family that I had lost a viewer for a long time ago. This has been perfect for me to look at them again. It is easy to use and works great. I am not sure how it is with the negatives, but for the slides it is a great thing to have.
