A good basic guide to not just stretching but also for those seeing a total fitness approach to their training.
I have been into physical fitness all my life and now that I am a senior with medical issues I am no longer as flexible as I used to be; nevertheless, I am always seeking fitness activities that will improve my overall physical condition. I purchased this book at a bargain price (Stretchfit: Stretch to get fit and stay fit by Karen McConnell with a forward by Brad Walker) on Amazon. This 128 page soft cover book has specific programs for the beginner’s level, the intermediate level and the advanced fitness level. The book is organized in a way that is easy to follow: Some of the material covered includes the following: Benefits of flexibility, active and passive stretching, the daily stretch, aerobic fitness, great aerobic workouts, measuring your heart rate, nutrition, core strength and stability, lower body stretches, upper body stretches, stretching schedules and stretching diary. This slick page volume has numerous full color photographs showing all the stretches shown in this book.If you are seeking a complete approach to physical fitness including numerous stretching exercises you should check out this book.Rating: 4 Stars.
