I can’t believe they can pack 50 watts per channel in such a tiny amp. I specifically bought this to replace a Pyle amp that was irritatingly noisy. It is used for a pair of Aurasound Cube speakers. It drives them beautifully and the convenient input jack links directly to my recording interface so I can easily switch between my main studio monitors and the Cubes. I'm panning on hooking this up to a 12v 3000mah battery pack.** A: Hello. 100W means 50W for each channel. But it also depends on your power supply. If you use 12V 3A, the power supply can only provide 36W (12V*3A). Then the amplifier can only provide 36W (18W for each channel) too. **Q: What is the tip size for the adapter?** A: Hello. Do you mean the power port size? It is 5.5*2.5mm. **Q: I want to use an external switch to power it on will it pop if volume left when power is turned back on?** A: If you use a switch to turn it on, you will have to press the ON button to get it to work after being turned off. When turned on a voice tells you which mode it is on. It does make a popping sound on the speakers I have hooked up to it. **Q: Will this amplifier work with 2x80 watt RMS speakers (even though the amplifier says that it is 2x50 watt)?** A: It should work with the speakers, although not drive power into them at a full 80W each (assuming the speakers really do 80W RMS). Power supply voltage has major impact on audio output power....! Using the amplifier with a 24 volt 5 A power supply you may get 50W per channel if you use 4 ohm speakers but... watch that power supply the vendor provides... It may be rated at 12 volt. With that one you will barely squeeze 15 watt per channel out of that amplifier. Solution: Get a 24 volt 5 amp "Brick style" power supply, or a 24 volt laptop charger (an older version universal laptop power supply would fit in nicely, when you set it with the right plug and 24 volt ). I am using a generic laptop charger set for 24 volts and am enjoying great sound with a pair of Klipsh speakers. A great addition to my home studio. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive cost/performance tradeoff; I'm buying another *by W***S on May 5, 2021* I bought an NS-10G in 2017 for occasional use. Due to a move in early 2020 it became my primary amplifier. I'm impressed. Speaking as an audio engineer I think this design beautifully balances the tradeoff between low cost and features/quality. Of course it's not super high fidelity or high power, and the Bluetooth reception range seems to be limited if there's anything in the way, even just a bookshelf. But the self-noise seems very quiet; it's not noticeable to me unless I listen very carefully for it. For background music using existing speakers, taking little space, and costing next to nothing (for audio gear), I think this tiny thing is amazing. I took off a star because the power button broke a couple of days ago, after four years of use, due to a design flaw (high-profile surface-mount momentary-contact button exposed to strong shear force when pressed). But after looking through dozens of replacement options, I decided to buy another NS-10G. I need both USB and Bluetooth input and I really want the USB in the back for cosmetic reasons. NOTHING I found balanced these features with quality and low cost as well as the NS-10G. I'll just push the power button as gently as I can. UPDATE: The replacement failed within a few minutes of power-up. "Infant mortality" we call it in the biz. Guess they don't do a lot of testing before they ship?
