The leaves from my bonsai kept turning yellow and even green leaves were falling off. So I bought this soil and a new pot for it and it's been growing new leaves almost everyday! Very easy to use, nothing complicated about it. Good value for your money definitely worth it!

Smells like fertilizer, but my sprouts are so beautiful

I bought because my daughter plant is at my house. Her orchid is still alive. I repotted it in this soil, as I didn’t want to kill it before she took over! Mission accomplished, but I’m not the best one for review. 😁

A nice blend of potting medium for orchids

This is my second bag of this orchid bark. It has a much better ratio of larger pieces and small pieces compared to my first bag, which wasnt mostly small bits. It seems they use theor bonsai medium as part of this mix. Not a bad thing per say but bonsai soil is very tiny particles and can fall out of your drain holes easily and, I noticed, holds a lot more water. My orchid roots didn't like that as much. Like I said, my second bag was a better setup. The inconsistency of the size ratio is why I ranked my review as a 4. If you are willing to work with it, like I am, it's a great quality soil for smaller pots and orchids with smaller root sizes. I have even put a little in my house plant potting soil to help with drainage.
