"Quality Levi's Jeans" is an Oxymoron Now
I wore Levi's all through childhood and college. I had noticed in the last few years the quality was getting lower. I was a little hessitatant to buy new jeans, but my other pair of light wash Levi's ripped on the knee so I wanted a new pair. Made this purchase and within 2 weeks of wearing them, the sewing on both front pockets has already come out and random bits of stitching are coming out on the pant legs even. I also noticed the material is thinner than my older pairs of Levis too which is a shame because I always liked that Levis would hold up for 3 or 4 years (I wear them almost daily) which was good for a pair of jeans.I hate to say it, but this was probably the last pair of Levi's I'm going to buy. The higher prices they charge for lower quality jeans isn't worth it anymore.

I Purchased My Last Pair of Levis
After 35 years of brand loyalty, I have purchased my last pair of Levis. This review is for two pairs of exchanged jeans due to the first set’s inferior quality. I have included photos to back my claims, as I am aghast at what the Levis brand has become. Manufactured in Pakistan, both pairs are garbage: thin cotton, inconsistent measurements, cheap stitching, and colorization issues are the highlights. In the pictures, I’ve laid one pair over the other, and both are the same brand, model, and color. One can easily see that the second pair under the first if a full size larger in the waist and inseam. Also, the stitching and color is vastly different. Again, these are the same jeans made in the same part of the world. It’s outrageous to keep sending bad product back to Levis only to receive even worse product in exchange. Levis is no longer a premium brand. If you desire quality jeans, you must certainly look somewhere else. I am convinced due to observing Levis’ downfall over the last decade that this brand has no desire to turn back the clock and once again offer their customers a decent product.

You never know what you'll get, so I'm done with 527's
It seemed when I first started wearing 527's almost 15 years ago, it was a great jean - I could count on consistent sizing and they generally used quality fabric. Things have definitely changed over the years, as it seems they consistently use a VERY thin, cheap material for all their jeans, and the sizing is pretty random. After ordering a few different styles last year, I sent back the thin fabric jeans, but kept the thicker ones (the overhaul style) as they fit better and used a higher quality fabric. When I ordered the exact same jeans this year, the ones that arrived were not the same fit/fabric, but rather the same cheap, thin fabric as the different styles I sent back last year.Sadly, I can only offer two things: 1)For the price, you can surely find a better jean out there, 527's simply aren't worth it anymore. 2)If you decide to order ANY 527 styles, be prepared for a cheaply constructed jean that will potentially be a smaller than expected fit, unless you get lucky and randomly pick a style that uses better material that season. As for me, after over 20 years of predominantly choosing Levi jeans, regrettably I will no longer be a Levi's customer. No one should have to cross their fingers and hope that they receive a quality product, and after 3 years of experiencing inconsistent material and sizing, I'm done with the 527 line and Levi's as a whole.

True Black Jeans are Hard to Find
Levi's has a naming problem that just boils my biscuits! Why the heck can't you just say "black jeans" instead of "Native Cali"... and don't get me started on how "Indigo Black" is basically blue. Their stupid color terms always puts online orders at risk of what color I'll actually end up with. That aside, Levi's also has a sizing problem. There is a really helpful review that explains that the sizing is different depending on where the jeans were made, and the reviewer does a great job of explaining the differences. I ordered three different pairs of 32" by 32" jeans to test the review theory. Two came from one country and the third from another. The two from one country (Native Cali and Indigo Black) both fit perfectly and were exactly the same as my favorite pair of 527s from back in the day. The one from the other country (Medium Chipped) couldn't even get over my hips and was around 2 inches too small to even button despite the tag saying that the size was 32" by 32". Did I instantly gain 2 inches to my waistline? Or does Levi's have a problem that has become so consistent that you have to read a helpful review to figure out the real sizing? I'll let you decide which, but the short of it is check out that review because if you don't, you may end up with either a larger waist then you thought or jeans that don't fit!Quick sidenote, it was thanks to Prime Wardrobe that I was able to try all 3 without having to pay upfront. That was really convenient since I was able to turn around and easily send the Medium Chipped pair back before I was charged. If you need to play around with sizes, check out Prime Wardrobe!

527 guru
if you love your current 527s then beware when ordering these! seems the pattern and size is different for each color. i stocked up on some 31x32 527s a few years ago because they fit so great and now with them getting holes i went to get more. So naturally i order the exact same size as before. I bought multiple colors and found that not a single pair fit the same as before. The darker colors were incredibly smaller in size, the lighter ones fit the same in the lower legs as before but the waist got tighter and the back pocket area got bigger and droopier. Not sure what is going on here but if they bring back the old pattern i will buy more, I'm left soured and steering away from levis now sadly because of this. also there are some cheap things on these jeans, like the trademark back red levi patch on the back pocket is blank instead of reading "levis". The brass rivets are cheap quality and levis isn't stamped on them. So much wrong with these

Excellent Customer Service!
Jeans true to size and usual Levis quality. Colour as expected from image. Although delivery was very late, no doubt due to the present circumstances, the seller was extremely helpful and quick to offer the best solution to rectify the matter. I would highly recommend, both in terms of product quality and service.

Chinese Levis?
Took a while for these to be delivered, but upon reciept, I was a little suprised to see they were shipped from China.Look good and fit well, and quality is what I would expect from Levi product, so quite happy really, but Levi's from China seems a little strange to me.Seems like everything comes from there at present, so should not really be suprised, but are they genuine or not ? Hard to tell, therefore 4 stars.

If these are not fake then I do not like genuine Levi’s
Do not buy. Levi’s 527 are my favourite jeans but these are a terrible fit and are made of a completely different material compared to all of my previous ones. Next time I’ll be buying direct from Levi’s.
