This thing came in a cool box and was razor sharp. It practically falls through tomatoes. It is a heavy knife, the heaviest I own. But it is beautiful and works exceptionally well

Thin and flimsy feeling blade. Not particularly sharp. The fold lines are etched in on the surface, rather than genuine divisions between layers of steel. Handle is pretty nice, but I wasn't shopping for a handle.

AMAZON let down...lesson learned. The knife's tip, head, and edge is a like a $30 blade. The tang is ok, while the handle's glued butt cap comes off easily. Amazon's sellers don't care about the warranty nor does the manufacture. NOT an everyday durable knife type of use. Maybe a good hipster w/ lots of useless gadgets that cooks maybe one time a week type of knife.

I'm giving this a four star because it is falsely advertised. It is not true Damascus, it is etched. Now I am not saying it is a bad knife, we have used it and love it. And it is very sharp and is a good knife. I do recommend this knife for purchase but just be aware it is etched Damascus and not forged Damascus.

This was a christmas gift for my husband 11 months ago. He is a bit of a knife snob, and he loooooves this knife. I'm actually scared to use it because the blade is so sharp. So far, there has been no noticeable wear on the blade or handle and it has been used almost daily for the last year. It has also maintained its razor sharp edge. Will be purchasing more from this line.

For the price, this knife performs as well or better than others of the same type at higher pricepoints. Plus, it's just beautiful with those steel folds and handle. A pleasure to use (and in a professional setting)!
