I am a mechanical engineer by profession and was an expert for BBC Watchdog and sworn to honesty. I tend to research a product drilling down into the quality and value of the item before I buy. I am not paid for my reviews and have no personal gain from them. Great compression 15mm fittings. Came well packaged and in good time. Easy to fit, put the treaded cap on first then the olive and finally a coat of thread compound to the threads and olives and screw together but not over tightening. Most leaks are caused by undertightening or over tightening and also by the lack of thread compound. If the joint squeaks when you tighten, stop, you didn't use compound. Good value, pretty, functions well and I have no trouble recommending these. If you have no thread compound, then I suggest you order some from Amazon at the same time. Go buy!

In all honesty as a average DIYer, i use to use pre soldered staights and elbows fo plumbing. But the qualty of the copper and solder is so bad i have now revertedback to the good old Mechanical joints with spanners. No blow torck, solder etc etc, these connections are cheaper in the long run
