This does exactly what it says. I used it to treat a worktop I had made from scaffolding Planks. These planks were new and untreated and very porous.After initial sanding (80 grit) I applied the first coat and it went on easily. I sanded using 400 grit before the second coat. Due to the porosity of this wood a third coat was necessary and again sanded with 400 grit before the final application. The result is stunning and shines beautifully with normal wax based furniture polish

Excellent product easy to apply and good finish.Only gripe is that develops a thick skin when it hasnt been used for a few months and tin being sealed. Hence the most recent order.

I bought the English Oak wax oil and I love the colour. I've only used it on an offcut of pine for now but I'm really happy with how it came out. I've only done one coat using a foam roller, not sure if I will do a second coat as it already looks good.
