Hygloss Products - 61410 , Inc. Magnetic Tape, Self- Adhesive, 1/2-Inch x 120-Inch Black

I cut strips of this magnetic tape for the sections of my metal canning shelves. My marker doesn’t adhere to the white covering on the aggressive side of the tape so I put a bit of cellophane tape over the white covering and use a Sharpie to identify canned foods. Works great for me.(A silver Sharpie works directly on the magnetic material but this tape is sticky on one side. I prefer to be able to move my labels around whenever my inventory changes.)

I used this to make a game for my grandchildren I am homeschooling. It was just the right width for the font size of words I was using. The paper adhere firmly to the magnet. Easy to cut into the length of each word. Magnet strong enough to adhere to a white board mounted on the wall without slipping down.

I bought this to apply to watercolor pans for use in metal palettes. The only good thing I can say is that this product was easy to cut to size and apply. The bad news is that the adhesive failed on most of the pans, fell off repeatedly, and that the magnet was not strong enough to keep the pans from shifting around in the palette. If this wasn't strong enough to anchor little plastic watercolor half-pans in a small metal palette, I seriously doubt it would be strong enough for much of anything else.

Less sticky than I would have liked and the magnetism is on the weak side

Kinda crappy magnetic tape. It sure isn't very strong magnetically or physically. To hold tools, as it's intended to, seems to e a fool's game. For my application, creating a recognizably magnetized 2D line it failed completely.I'd use it for the whole tool holder function, if the magnetization was stronger. As it is now, we used it hit each other when re-enacting wild-west themed plays or science fiction dramas.

I purchased this to make name tags for work to hang on each of my team members cubes, they stick to the cardboard tags great and any other metal surface ( that magnets will hold on to) well, no slipping. I recommend this for everyone.

The magnet seemed to hold great to the metal surface but the adhesive side was lacking. I hung a sign up using them and it fell down due to the adhesive giving up.
