Hardware House 543850 Berkshire 20-1/4-Inch by 8-3/4-Inch Bath/Wall Lighting Fixture, Classic Bronze

I bought 2 of these to install in my hallway to replace 2 twenty year old fixtures. The oil rubbed bronze don't match my other oil rubbed fixtures but since it's not in the same room as them, this did not bother me one bit (but if you need an exact match, like another reviewer says, it's a more gray color, but not that noticeable once installed.) The amber dome looks nice. It's not thin and cheap looking. It has 2 standard bulbs that brighten the hallway very well. (I only have one installed right now and there's already way more light.) Nothing was broken when I received it and all the hardware worked fine for me so I'm not sure what the other reviewers are referring to. I do know that there are 2 sets of screws of different sizes and 1 set is too short for them to be interchangeable, so you HAVE to use the shorter set to screw the fixture to the ceiling. I also installed it myself (along with all the other lightening I've done) so I didn't hire anyone to do it. It's super easy to do on your own. I, up to about a month ago, had never installed any kind of light fixture in my life and so this was one of the last 6 I have done in the past few weeks. I am really happy with my purchase and these were an inexpensive way to update my home without breaking the bank.

At the current price point ($29), I think this is an excellent value. All the supplied hardware is good quality, particularly the bulb sockets themselves which have an engineered design to make them compact. The finish is a little darker than pictured but lighter colored highlights tip observers off to the bronze finish. This fixture includes all the necessary mounting hardware so all you need is a recessed standard box in the ceiling. You should probably do a mock set up with the lamp shade before hanging it to get the right thread depth on the finial and the relationship of the shade to the decorative arms (one reviewer complained about the complexity of this) because it will be harder when it's on the ceiling. Other than that, installation was pretty simple. Once lit, the shade casts a warm glow because of the brownish tint in the glass. If there's any hint of low cost in all this, it's the installation instructions, they are a bit vague on a couple of points. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the attractiveness of the overall design and it has put a bit of flair in my breakfast room.

This light fixture arrived exactly as pictured, in retail packaging with a label slapped on the box. I don’t mind that, but just be aware it is not in an Amazon box. This light is pretty, but there are three curvy things right above the glass bowl, and it can be a bit frustrating trying to get them equal distance apart. It just never seems to look perfect. Otherwise, it was relatively easy to install and I have no complaints about the quality. It casts a warm color and would be great if you had an upscale rustic look in the room.

My husband and I just recently purchased our first home. Location was at the top of our list of priorities. Needless to say our home was built in 1986 and in need of some major updating and on a budget!These lights were an inexpensive way to go about it. I compared with Overstock, Home Depot and Lowes and these were still a fraction of the price. The color was just as described. The feel of the fixture was not at all chinsey or cheap. Although I would say you are getting what you pay for. My husband installed them and said they were fairly easy to install.I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for something that looks nice at a good price.

I bought 6 of these, strung them about 17" from the ceiling along opposite walls in my family room and installed 4W nightlight bulbs w/candelabra base adapters I bought here on Amazon. I have medium-brown paneling (yes, I know, it is not 1976 anymore - but we did get rid of the coppertone appliances so there is hope just yet) and these fixtures create a rustic feeling to the room.The low-wattage bulbs keep the room dimly lit while watching TV and the warm tan-colored globes look super!Quality is quite good for the money. The globes are thick heavy glass and the electrical parts seem well-made. You get wire nuts and an electrical box adapter plate with each fixture.

We bought two of these to replace broken ceiling fans in two bedrooms. The instructions say it has to be installed in a 2 inch octagonal box, but one of our rooms has a shallower box. Nevertheless, we were able to install it in the shallow box with just enough room for all the wires, wire nuts, and screws. The pan at the top of the fixture offers a little bit of space, but not much. To make everything fit we had to shorten some of the wires. Something to keep in mind.The yellow tint of the glass bowl softens the harsh glare of fluorescent and LED bulbs, which is a plus.

The color of the fixture was a key for me. It's not black. It's a burnished bronze. When matched with the off-white globes with the brown "dusting" around the edges, it gives you a great deal of options for decorating and surrounding decor. It's going to "fit in" and "go with" a variety of looks.The drop is of course adjustable and it's very lightweight to be supporting 5 globes. FWIW, the arms don't curve up straight. They flare out just a tad. It looks fine that way, but I'm not sure you can really see it that well in online pictures.

Purchased 3 of these to match an existing light fixture. Received before the estimated date in great condition. Products were as described. Satisfied with purchase.
