directly available, more than 30.500 articles, excellent service - Perverted Taste Music GmbH Review: No excuse for a Black Metal fan to not like this album - I find it hard to believe that a serious Black Metal fan could give this anything less than 4 stars. I seen a review whining about the sound, any Black Metal fan knows that the sound is intentional and it isn't like this is the only BM CD that sounds like it does. Now on to the individual performances, this is the best lineup Gorgoroth ever had in my opinion. Everyone performs to their best ability. Pest shows just how powerful and diverse of a vocalist he is, he has some truly evil snarls and screams and an operatic sounding clean voice. Grim may not have been around long, but nobody can deny how great of a drummer he was. He opens the open with his pounding and furious double bass on "Revelation Of Doom" his drumming is very intense and merciless on the ears. I mean that in a good way too. Then there's the mastermind behind the whole band, Infernus. Yet again he is playing both Bass and Electric guitar and he exceeds on both. His riffs are hauntingly evil but very pleasing to hear at the same time and he wrote all the music here so it's no surprise it's as good as it is. To be honest, his bass is nothing special here. It isn't bad but when you actually do hear it it's usually just following the guitar. This is one hell of a CD (No pun intended) and I rank it up there as one of the greatest Metal albums you can purchase along with "Pentagram" Review: Amazing - Amazing album. It’s a must for Gorgorth fans

Raw black metal
In my opinion one of the best Gorgoroth albums I've heard so far. Pest vocals are better fit than Gaahl, not dissing on him. The drums are really fast and powerful, which Grim showcased his talents. Infernus guitar is really exceptional and shows how dedicated is with black metal. Its great that Pest and Infernus are back together and can't wait to hear their new stuff.

a review for the release not the album
I'll spare you the review of the album itself and assume you'll read other reviews. I will only state it is my favorite Gorgoroth album. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE 2007 REGAIN RECORDS "REMASTER" NOT THE ALBUM ITSELF This version uses the original artwork from the Malicious Records release unlike the previous digipak edition from Season of Mist. The audio on this CD is a "remastered" version which has sadly been victimized by the loudness war. Comparison of waveforms shows the Regain Records release has been volume boosted to the point of clipping which results in some noticable distortion in the audio. Even worse is The Rite of Infernal Invocation has been trimmed from 6:49 to 4:38 while everything after about 3:30 is simply just noise it has been 6:49 for a whole decade why shave 2:11 off? Are this problems as bad as some more recent loudness war victims such as Death Magnetic or World Painted Blood? No. Does it ruin the album? No. But if you've heard a previous release it's just not the same. My conclusion? Buy the Season of Mist digipak (or if you can find it cheap the original Malicious Records version) and if you must have the original artwork I'm sure you can find some good hi-res scans on the internet and you could place your CD in a jewel case with artwork printed from those scans. Also to note the Regain Records versions of Pentagram and Antichrist are also "remasters" but since I have not heard them I do not know for certain if they are also clipped as this one is.

And I Thought Xasthur played bad drums guess not
Gorgoroth's Under the Sign of Hell is just a pile of garbage the production is just awful and these morons can't even play the insterments wright its like they recorded a F'N Blender or they was just hitting Trash Cans the whole time or something cause this is not music or anything its garbage. BORING NONSENSE Recommend to NO BODY

ok Black Metal
I really Like Gorgoroth but was a little disapointed at this release. This seems like this recording was made in a garbage can because the sound is not that great. Over all the music is ok and only recommend this if you really like Black metal

Under the Sign of Hell“ - Release gewesen wäre.

Amazing sounding vinyl.
Top notch album and no flaws on cover or vinyl. Good trustworthy seller and top notch album! Gorgoroth pentagram is amazing 10/10 Antichrist is 7/10 But this, Under the Sign of Hell 9. 9/10 A black metal must buy. It sounds AMAZING on vinyl. The kick drum (bass drum) sounds HUGE and fills up the room with it's loud bombastic explosive booms even on the half beat, blast beat or simple slow bits. Right out the gate the fast part from the opening track shows you the quality of not only the vinyl and seller. But the mix its self. Please buy this. You will glad you did. Excellent album. Good trustworthy seller. Amazing vinyl. GET THIS VINYL NOW!

Weird re-mix?
This album sounds good, but weirdly produced compared to my other Gorgoroth records. Can't really say, percussion seems really accentuated compared to the other ones. Not sure if this is from the master or a remix. That said I got used to it quick and love the record.
