Initially concerned about negative reviews, but...
The media could not be loaded. ย I was initially concerned about the negative reviews, but decided to try this and another 3M document holder. My plan was to then buy the one I liked best. I received the other 3M holder (w/o the paper tray), which also uses a Command Strip to attach to a monitor. That one came w/ 2 strips. I attached it and put ~20 pages in the clip and waited. The next day, the holder was still attached and all pages clipped. I then received the doc holder w/ the paper tray (this item) and it also came w/ 2 strips. As other reviewers said, as soon as I tried to stick it to the monitor, it fell off. I thought maybe the monitor surface was too porous, but since the other holder is still attached on my 2nd monitor, I knew that was not the issue. I was about to wrap it up to return it, but thought there's got to be a reason it's not sticking. I LOVE Command Strips, so this wasn't making sense. I took that small plastic piece off the holder to inspect the strip. Although the side of the strip attached to that piece of plastic was sticky, the side that attaches to the monitor was not (see video). My finger wouldn't even stick. So I checked the other strip that came w/ this holder and same issue...was not sticky on that side. I then grabbed the extra strip I got w/ the other doc holder and proceeded to use that for this holder. When I took the strip off the plastic, the small piece of plastic with the rounded end broke off (I knocked off a star off for the thin plastic). I put the new strip on it and stuck it to the monitor and it stayed. Looking at the strip that came w/ this holder and the one from the other holder, you can see the strip on the right in the picture is slightly yellow. It was an old strip! Plain and simple. This holder has been staying for almost a week w/ ~25-30 pages sitting on it. Even with the broken plastic piece, it's still sticking.TBH, there are some people who are too quick to write bad reviews without trying to figure out why something isn't working and frankly, it's a shame. If you're not used to using Command Strips, just be sure to check the following if it's not sticking:1. Is the surface you're trying to stick it to porous or textured? The packaging of the strips clearly state the surface must be smooth.2. Are both sides of the strip sticky? If not, use another strip. You may have just bought them, but they could have been sitting for a long time and the adhesion has faded.3. Is either side of the strip yellow? If so, it's probably an old strip. Get another one.My final impression is I like both document holders, so I'm going to keep both.

Perfect accessory for my cubicle!
I recently purchased a flat panel monitor hanger for my office cubicle and when I saw this copy holder that mounts directly to the side of my flat panel display, I purchased it with no hesitation. Obviously I checked the reviews first and they were all exemplary. I bought this a few weeks back and I use it to hold documentation related to the latest project I am working on or my daily to-do list.To be honest, I didn't even know that these things existed. What is especially great is that it is up and off of my desktop, at eye level, and doesn't add any more clutter to my desk. If you need it to hold many pages, it will do that as well and the mounting took about a minute and it holds rock-solid!I couldn't be happier with this Amazon purchase and may even buy one for the other side of my flat panel display. One great feature is that it swivels in case you want to hide it behind the flat panel display but I can't see myself ever doing that. Another benefit of the swivel is if the side of your flat panel monitor isn't at least 3/4" thick, you can just attach it to the back of your monitor and just swivel it! My flat panel display in my home office is only 1/2" thick so I couldn't really attach it to the side of the monitor but could easily just attach it to the back and it would work just as well. That's why I am contemplating buying one for my home office as well.Great purchase, received it quickly with no shipping charges, and may just buy another one!

Great for holding onto 8x11 or 8 x14 scoresheets as I enter stats.
I like you can remove this by lifting it up and setting it behind monitors when not needed. I mostly leave it up as I am recording stats almost every day. The built in clip at the top is strong enough to hold one sheet or many. Most I have had was 8 scoresheets hanging as I did the stats for the night. The clip also raises and lowers to accommodate various sizes of documents. The up curved lip at the bottom allows the sheets to stay in place without curling up. I attached it to the left side of my monitor with the included adhesive tape. I just cleaned all pieces with alcohol to remove any grease or oils from my hands. So far so good, used almost everyday.

Holds Copy at Eye Level
It's not that I dislike this product, it's just that it could be improved. It does hold copy at eye-level but, if there is more than one user (of a different height) who sits at the computer, the holder cannot be moved. I would prefer a way the height of copy could be adjusted. The clip at the top holds the paper in place. It seems flimsy and I think that over time, it will break. What I do like is that the angle of the arm can be adjusted so that it's easy to position the copy exactly where it's easiest to read.Overall, it does the job. I'm not convinced that it will last a long time. With tweaking and sturdier quality, this could be a superior product. For the time being, this is the best I could find on the market.

Loved it so much that I bought another one
I loved this 3M flat panel mounted copy holder so much that after I received the first one for my office computer, I ordered another one for my home computer. I would have given it a 5-star, but the lower score was because I thought it was a bit overpriced. However, it was very easy to put together, and it really helps me see the documents I'm typing on my computer, otherwise I would need to buy tri-focal eyeglasses to see at the necessary typing distance. I like how it swings back out of the way when not in use. I did have to tighten the nut to prevent the stand from swinging backwards while typing.

I wish it swiveled toward me on the bottom of the tray
I received exactly what I ordered, but would love to improve on it by adding a swivel on the tray that holds the paper. It does swivel at the point of contact between the arm that holds the tray and the flat piece of plastic that is glued to your monitor, but boy, would it be EVEN BETTER if one could swivel it toward you at the bottom of the tray that holds the paper. I keep trying to do it, but of course, it isn't made to swivel there. Great product, though, making my life easier!

Pros & Cons
I do like that itโs inline with the screen, makes typing from a document easier with less neck strain. However itโs not very solid and tends to tilt forward & to the side a little. Not a major deal but not good if you have to do a lot of typing.

This is better, makes it less obtrusive
The holder is actually clear, rather than smoked in the photo. This is better, makes it less obtrusive. Holders good.
