I have now installed these in my house, my moms and my grandmothers house.I originally made the switch because the 'normal' version of smoke detector was low on battery one day and made that awful beeping noise while I was away at work. My dog nearly escaped from his yard because he was a nervous wreck at the sound so I needed to find a way to know when the battery was low before it started beeping. Then I found these! I bought basic white metal plates (also from Amazon) to cover the existing wiring in the ceiling and just installed these on top of that.I now am able to watch the battery life and be notified of low battery all from my phone.Easy to install and set-up as well.Have suggested to many people as well who are making the switch :)

I bought the 3 pack last year and recently one of them started going off constantly, so I contacted customer support, they tried to briefly troubleshoot the issue and ultimately sent me a new one. I decided to see if I could find the problem with the old one, took it apart, and found a single strand of spider web inside of the detector housing. After cleaning it out, the detector works fine. I have started testing each of them with smoke detector spray on a regular basis and all of them have successfully alarmed on the detector itself and on my phone. No real connectivity issues in the year I've had them. Very happy with these smoke detectors and with the customer service!

Wifi installation was so easy, all devices completed with the first try.Smoke test completed before installed, working as expected, also email notification received after 5 seconds.

Looks like it's not for sale anymore. It started going off for no reason. Finally had to pull the plug and toss it.

Easy set up, they connected right to my phone. I was out of town and had a house sitter when the fire alarm did end up going off. It was 11 pm and my phone was flashing and a loud alarm was going off. Glad to know they work efficiently!

Hard to rate until there is a fire, but the price is great and setup was easy. Small size is a nice feature. I have two on the main floor and one in the basement, and they communicate well.

I bought this because I planned on a trip, and I wanted to be alerted when away from home, in case someone else trigger a fire inside the house. It was easy to install and worked as expected when I tested it. I am not sure about battery life yet, but so far I am satisfied with it.
