Once you figure out the kinks, not bad
Ok. So at first, I thought it didn't work. After going back and rereading the reviews, I found the toy was on "try me" instead of on. (After one hour of frustration and calling the toy all sorts of names. Thank god it had batteries in it already!) It worked beautifully, until I heard a grinding noise and the button turned blue. Found out the item she chose was empty and the machine was letting us know to refill. Overall, it is a great toy. You have to test it, then try it. Understand it a little and you'll get the hang of it.

One of the better Ryan’s World Toys
I usually dislike but anything Ryan’s World repeated because it quite expensive and the quality is terrible. However, this vending machine was well worth it. My kids play with this all the time!

5 Stars for Ryan Toys
I've read the negative reviews an was concerned but it only has a few kinks. My 5 year old and 2 year old love it. If it's not working remember it has two power options. Make sure it's ON and not on Try Me. If it's still not working empty everything and make sure there isn't a little fruit toy stuck inside which will prevent items from dropping down. Like I said My 2 year old can figure it out so that's all that matters for me. :)

should have been an easy 5
I would have easily given this product a five star rating except for 2 things. The packaging is exceedingly cheap for such an expensive toy. It doesn't work for gifting because of this, and if you like to keep toys in the original packaging for future eye appeal, this does nothing for that means. Now the good stuff. it really is a fun and fabulous toy for kids. I saw some bad reviews about how the machine works, but the one we have has worked flawlessly. It's a vending machine, and so much more because of all the surprise things inside the items that come out of the machine. Yes - I would recommend this, despite the "frustration free" packaging (which is actually a code name for a brown box!). BTW, had it been advertised as frustration free packaging I may not have even purchased it. But the toy is actually so good I'm glad that I bought it.UPDATE My first post said that the machine worked flawlessly, and it did. But only for a few days. So we had to send it back. We like the toy so much that we had a replacement sent. Now three weeks later, this one has stopped working. Thankfully I'm still within the 30 day window so I have to send it back. But I really would have loved to have kept this game. So disappointing because it would be such a great product if it worked. I still gave it two stars rather than one because it's such a nice looking toy. UPDATE: I had bought one of these for my business, which we did not send back. And playing with it today with my grandson, I noticed that the reason, the one item keeps jamming, is because it needs to be put in sideways. Very poor design on the most fruit punch container. Had The label been designed to go top to bottom, instead of sideways, we would never have even had an issue putting this in the wrong way. The Difference is so small you didn't notice it by looking at it. On a whim, I said, let's try putting it in sideways. And that absolutely straighten out the problem with the jamming. Such a shame! That one small mistake of the label being in the wrong way caused us to have to return two of these units. I feel bad for the company. They probably lost a lot of money because of this one error.

Very cute, kids can learn to count
I bought this for my grandchild who just loves it. It comes with plastic coins in which to insert. The items in the vending machine are inserted from the top that shows how many of each item goes where. This vending machine can help kids learn to count. The item fall in the receiving section after the child pushes the corresponding item button a certain amount of times. My grandchild knows how to work this better than I. The items have little toy trinkets inside and or colored slime. You could also refill the containers with toy trinkets of your own. This will keep your child occupied. This item came with batteries but I always keep batteries on hand just in case they're not included and for future use.
