the heat is instant and very hot.
The heater works well, but the twist connection at the base of the "chimney" is smaller than the cooker so it can only rest on the cooker not twist to keep it stable. It should only be used in a safe place so it should be safe enough.

Heats up & warms space quickly.
Does exactly what it says, it heats up very quickly to red hot. Keeps heat for quite a while & warms up camper quickly. Its just like having a heater on for the price of a bit of cooking gas! A great addition to a camper van for winter.
