Double Action Pump w/Pressure Gauge

Works well. Keep in mind it's low to the ground so you have to bend your back the entire time you pump, and because it pumps as you pull and push, it's a workout. My friends have taller ones that don't require you to bend the entire time, but this one is small enough to throw into the kayak, so it's worth it for me. If you're just pumping next to your car or house then I'd get a taller one.

6 month review...This pump delivers exactly as advertised. It's light, durable and quickly inflates my Advanced Elements Convertible tandem kayak. I use it on all trips just incase I get a puncture or need to top off the air. Happy to say, that after 15 trips, neither scenario has occurred. The features: 1. The pressure gauge works well and appears to be accurate. 2. The double pumping action is solid and smooth- no wobbling. 3. The feet keep it stable while pumping. 4. The hose is adequate in length and does not kink, even after coiling it in my kayak bag for weeks. 5. The the size is small enough to fit in my big kayak duffle bag and easily fits in my bow bungees (see pics). However, if If you're into run or bike-yaking, there are smaller options available. But for driving to the put-in or taking long kayaking trips, this pump is great. 6. While I've used it in Houston summer temps (100° F), I've not tried in colder climates. 7) The set of nozzle adapters work great and fit snug. Note, after 15 uses, the cord holding them together snapped. Can easily find another tether cord.. In conclusion, I researched the heck out of pumps and am confident, for all around purposes, this is a solid investment.

Update: the pressure gauge works fine, just need to keep pumping...Pros: inflates quickly, works really great for pumping up our new advanced elements kayaks. Easy to use.Cons: pressure gauge doesn't work on the large inner tubes; provides no readings at all which forces me to 'eyeball it'. I bought this pump specifically for the gauge because I have to maintain a pressure of no more than 2psi or risk damaging my kayak... and the gauge leaves me hanging. Also, the attachments fit so snugly into the hose that you can't turn them to lock in place. They haven't popped off yet but I can see where that may happen over time.

Bought this to go with my Advanced Elements Kayak since I needed a pump that had a pressure gauge on it. It pumps up pretty fast and gives good, clear reading of the air pressure so I don't overfill my kayak. I had used an electric air pump before but it did not have any way to tell what the air pressure was.

The pump "arm" detached from the threaded bladder on the inside repeatedly and ended up stripping during the first use filling 3 kayaks. Put in a return but couldn't drop off in time after not getting out to the lake fast enough to test after buying. Plastic piece of junk! Trash - do not buy.

Bought this because we were concerned about both over and under inflating multiple brands of inflatable kayaks. Now we use a batter powered Ryobi pump to do the bulk of the inflation and use this to top of at the right level. I was a little disappointed that the gauge wasn't easier to read, other than that it is a fine pump. We have an Advanced Elements inflatable kayak and it seems that they make quality products.

World well and is double action so pumps on way down and way up. Works for my inflatable kayaks from advanced elements. And had lots of additional valve connectors.

this pump is a real deal and works as advertised. below is my experience with it.some random observations:* i checked the gauge against another manometer and it's spot on. a definite plus.* inflate and deflate ports are there though i don't particularly care about deflate--not what i use pumps for.* the connection of the hose to the adapter was flimsy and was leaking so i ended up dabbing it with sealant--all perfect now.* there is still a slight leak at the handle/deflate port side, but it doesn't interfere much with the operation.* the five adapters that the pump came with: i only use one (hr) which gave me some trouble initially. it wasn't properly mating with my inflatable's valves so i had to dremel off some fraction of a mm to make it work. as mentioned earlier, i ended up removing the adapter from the bundle, which kept getting in the way.* the double action: i don't particularly care about this feature. it works ok at low pressures but otherwise the pump is giving a considerable resistance/it takes effort to pump, so a one-way pump would actually be preferred when needing a higher pressure.* the build quality: this is why i take off one star. the entire pump feels flimsy, plasticky. even though the gauge is rated for 15psi max, i don't dare going above half of it, 7-8 psi, beyond which you begin to feel like you are pushing your luck with the plastic construction given the force you need to use. i'll be careful with this pump using it only to top off my inflatable and will see how long it lasts.----additional edit----after 1 month of use of this product, i conclude that overall this pump is not worth it. it's leaking air on one end and requires a significant force to operate due to its large cross-section. it's not particularly cheap either. just not a pleasure to use. so, all in all, i recommend an electric (12V auto) pump--i got one and it makes the entire inflation process so much easier/more enjoyable.
