Fun for kids who like demolishing!
I purchased this for my boys, ages 7 and 5, last Christmas. After almost a year, they still enjoy setting up the pieces, building towers and demolishing what they've built. The thicker cardboard pieces stand up well and can be arranged in different configurations. The detonator works well and the pistons can knock down the tallest of towers in mere seconds. The taller you build, the less stable the structure becomes, causing some frustration for my boys at times. The plastic pieces which attach to the cardboard "walls" and help them stand can get lost easily when they come off, as the pieces are clear and nearly impossible to see in the carpet.I would not recommend this product to children younger than 6 or 7, as finer motor skills are needed to set up the tower without knocking it down first. (My 5 year old has experienced this frustration before). In summary: this is a good product for older boys who like building and knocking things down.

7yr old, 5 yr old and 2 yr old loved this and played with it for hours
We had a blast and had all sorts of learning opportunities. Lots of good design thinking, modification, resiliency as the project tumbled a few times before we could blow it up. I recommend this as a great learning tool.As kids before you start: What do you think will happen? What will you try? How can you make this strong enough to stand for a while and yet blow up when you want it to?

So much fun for early engineers!
Massively popular birthday present for my son who turned six in August. He played with it non-stop all afternoon on his birthday, and continues to play with it regularly. It does involve some set up time, but my son loves any type of building toy (trio blocks, Lego, k'nex) so this is right up his street, and he loves finding different ways to set everything up. You have to be careful building the pieces up as it easy to accidentally knock it down before you're ready to set the blasters (the pieces themselves are sturdy enough, but when building high these things happen), and sometimes this frustrates my son, but this is part of life learning to keep trying! If you have a child that loves building things, and blowing things up (but who doesn't love that!) then I highly recommend this toy.

All of us have had a lot of fun with this
It took a while to get all the pieces separated and lined up to start building and by then my 7 year old grandson had to go to bed. So I set it all up so he could see it the next morning when he woke up. Was he ever surprised the next morning when he saw that grandma had built the whole structure. He decided to wait until he returned from his dad's over the weekend to blast it down. However, his mother (my daughter) confessed that she actually detonated it over the weekend because she just couldn't help herself and then had to rebuild it for him to take down! All of us have had a lot of fun with this.

An amazing, creative (and destructive) toy.
This was a hit. My kid saw it in a toy store but it was half the price here on Amazon. This definitely seems superior and more complete than the other ones in the series. Because it had 3 "detonation" bumpers that can be set off individually. The card that the buildings are made from in not at all flimsy. About the thickness of a beer mat.It can be set up in an infinite number of ways, and the clear instructions also have a layout that you can build, and a couple of challenges.Creative kids wiill use the bumpers with other toys, lego etc as well.

Cool Technology -- Low Interest
This is OK... You assemble the included cardboard pieces (like a house of cards) around the remote controlled detonators and blow it apart. The kids sort of get bored with the building process and are only excited about the blowing up process. Hopefully, it will pique enough interest to keep them away from the video games for a while. From what I've seen so far, I think the technology here is cool -- but will have to work with the kids to get them to appreciate it and try some experiments on their own.

Good fun!
I bought this for my son, age 12. He has ADHD -- therefore, not the best attention span. He really enjoys it. The parts are basically 'cards', but they are coated (laminate type material) and work perfectly for this application. My son builds his own imaginative tower and then knocks it down. He plays with it for a bit, then moves on to something else. The key to it is this -- he keeps returning to it. It has not been a 'one-time thrill of a toy'. A great toy for budding construction/builder types & engineers. I received the recommendation for this toy from the autism shop and I am very pleased with it.

3, 2, 1.... BOOM
We just bought this for our 9 year old sons birthday. He'd seen it on Amazon. He was a bit disappointed when he saw it as he thought the buildings were "solid". However they are like thick pieces of printed card with small plastic feet that clip on.But he liked the electronic blasters and the sounds effects. You get quite a lot of pieces, so you can build odd shapes up. A little more variety in the pieces (longer lengths, taller parts etc) would have been good, but after some play we really enjoyed the set. I think I perhaps enjoyed it the most ;-)
