Great sound quality in an economical package
The Spirit HD is a great choice that balances economy with functionality. The unit itself is compactly-designed, mounts solidly to your helmet (I have a Shoei Neotec 3) and the four buttons are easy to operate with gloves on. The 40mm speakers deliver solid sound quality and the included spacers allow you to place the speakers close to your ears for optimum sound. I bought this after looking at lots of reviews for more expensive units that seemed to say that they didn't see much improvement over this one, and my experience bears that out.

Worth every penny
Easy to install, connect and use. Great sound from the speakers, I have no problem jamming out with straight pipes on my bike, it drowns them out. The microphone works great for calls, even while riding. I haven't had the opportunity to test the intercom function yet, but a friend has one so that should happen soon. Battery life if great, as advertised, and the Bluetooth signal is the strongest I've ever seen. I've been up to 50 feet from my phone and inside the house without missing a beat with the Bluetooth. Highly recommended.

This unit is fantastic!
I wanted a basic helmet comm so I could hear GPS directions from my iPhone. After researching available products and consulting an experienced friend, I went with this Cardo Spirit HD. This thing is fantastic. Easy and clean installation. It pairs easily with my iPhone and has PLENTY of crystal clear volume. While I hadn’t originally “needed” voice comm, I really like having it. I highly recommend this product. That said, I can’t comment on bike to bike communication since I ride alone. But this product 100% meets my needs and exceeded my expectations.

FAR BETTER THAN I EXPECTED
this thing is amazing, great sound quality, especially with the bass boost audio profile turned on. Some people say that the audio isnt good, and i couldnt disagree more. The only downside is if you want intercom with more than one other rider, as it only allows for 2 riders to connect, but if you are someone who only rides alone or not in big groups, and yuore. just looking for music, gps, radio, 2 way intercom, this is the best product u can buy. - fit perfectly in. my HJC i10 Helmet

Not bad
FYI, I primarily use this for GPS directions and texts; I do not listen to music with it.My helmet isn't exactly the greatest for running in-helmet comms but the Cardo does do a decent job. The audio is a little too 'tinny' for my taste when it comes to music, but since I don't listen to music when I'm riding, it's not an issue. When it comes to GPS, texts, notifications, stuff like that, it works pretty well. Due to how my helmet is and how my ears are (years of loud music and things that go pew), I do have to have the volume up pretty high to combat the wind noise. The biggest issue that I have isn't with Cardo but its with Apple and I am mentioning it mainly so that other Apple users will know what they're getting into. If you have an Apple Watch and/or you have a passcode on your phone, listen up:1. If you have an Apple Watch: In order to get notification sounds through the Cardo, you will have to go into Settings on your watch, then go to Passcode, then turn off Wrist Detection. This is the only way that I've found to get notifications to relay through the Cardo when I have it on. If Wrist Detection is on, then you will not get audible notifications when your phone is locked.2. If you have a passcode on your iPhone, you will not be able to have Siri read your messages to you (through the Cardo) unless your phone is already unlocked. It is extremely annoying and defeats the purpose of the "hands free" concept. You can turn off the passcode but you better do it an hour before riding because of Apple's security waiting time that is in place. If anyone knows a different fix for this, I'm all ears. You can still send messages and make calls through the Cardo when the iPhone is locked but she will not read your messages.

Very good but no bass
My only complaint is there's no bass.I can hear my music just fine with a full face ILM on a piped Harley 114 FXLRS and a piped 883. I also had a phone conversation at 75 MPH on the 114 with no issue at all. I've talked with people who didn't even know I was riding until I told them.Battery life is superb! I get days out of the system before I have to charge it.My buddy has a Sena and can't do phone calls or hearusic and his bike isn't as loud as mine. Go with the Cardo, you won't be disappointed.

Works great
Bit of a pain to install on my bell qualifer due to how the helmet is made but holds on tightly so no concern of it coming off. Connects easily and stays connected. Speakers are great quality, even at 70+ sound quality and bass are great and thats with it running about 50% on the volume.

Buy this for good quality at a great price
Wanted to be able to listen to music and have ability to hear GPS if I needed. So I researched and found Cardo to be one of the best reviewed brands out there. For a great price the sound quality is amazing on the Spirit HD. Super easy install. The upgraded speakers make a difference and I can hear so clear over my Harley's exhaust. Don't buy cheap. Just spend a little more for this and you'll be so happy.
