Know your task -this is great for stone
My wife wanted a flagstone sidewalk from the driveway to the front porch steps but I wanted a paver sidewalk. In a stroke of brilliance I decided to put down some big flagstones randomly and then lay the pavers around them, cutting the pavers to fit the natural contours of the stones. I had no idea how much work and time I would need to commit to this project. Needless to say, I cut a lot of pavers and trimmed a lot of flagstones. I started with a 7 inch Makita grinder, which was just to heavy to use hour after hour. I bought a Makita 4.5 inch angle grinder (best move ever) and started buying 4.5 inch diamond blades. Most of them cut the pavers fine, but the stones dulled them quickly. I don't know how many other brands I went though, maybe 4 or 5, but when I get this one I could tell right away it was different. This blade cuts fast and lasts a long time. I actually bought two because I was going through a blade or two each week and I was tired of using a dull blade while I waited for the next blade to ship. I haven't opened the second package because this one is lasting so long, over a month. So when I think of ALL the other blades that lasted less than a week, this is the real deal. The trade off and the only bad thing I can tell you about this blade is it makes a rough cut. I'm much more of a woodworker than a stone guy, and I have some high end saw blades that leave an amazingly clean cut and then there are some that aren't quite as nice and I can tell you why one is better for super smooth cuts and why another is not. I don't understand diamond masonry blades, but this is very comparable to my framing saw blades: it cuts fast but doesn't leave a clean cut. That being said, I would choose this blade every time for cutting natural stone. All of the blades I used were fine until I started cutting a flagstone. After cutting a flagstone and then going back to cutting the pavers, there was a huge difference in the blade's ability to cut. Natural stone just destroyed the other blades, but this one just keeps cutting. To be specific about the cut, some of the blades I used cut slow and left a very clean edge, sometimes the edge was so sharp you could cut yourself it you weren't careful. This blade is so aggressive the edge of the stone has small breaks as though the blade chiseled it's way through instead of making a nice clean cut.So if you're cutting actual natural stone (not man-made stone) this blade is for you. If you're cutting other masonry products, this will be fine and probably out last many other blades, but it doesn't deliver a crisp clean cut.

Cuts granite nicely
If you need a blade that can handle cutting precision cuts cleanly in granite this is the one to buy.Performance:Excellent. I used it with an angle grinder to cut out a cook top opening in 1" thick Black Galaxy granite. it cut smoother than i had expected. The blade did not show any signs of degradation after finishing the job. I think it will out last the grinder.Cost:from amazon this is a steal. If you are somewhat handy and a DIY guy (GAL), this is a great tool to have if you are doing any remodeling or as in my case needed to add a bigger opening to fit a slightly larger cook top. The granite guys wanted $150 to do the job.Tips:If you are cutting anything inside, get a good respirator, goggles, and use a shop vac and have a buddy trace your cut as you go with the vac. You will create a lot of dust. Put the shop vac exhaust outside unless you have a good HEPA filter on it. Even then you will get dust. Also buy plastic and cover off the area that you will be working in so that the dust will not spread everywhere. TURN OFF the Central AC if you have one.Value:for trades guys, this is a great blade to have. It will probably pay for itself on the first use. A pro probably can get 10-12 sinks, cook tops cut out with this tool, so it will be a no-brainier to have it. My next DIY with this is to cut some pavers for a outside project.

Great for cutting circles in porcelin tile
Did what i needed it to do. That was to cut a half circle in piece of 12” x 12” porcelin tile without breaking it. Worked great.

Super durable. Outlived original task cutting stone and now use all the time.
Originally bought to cut and extract minerals from specimens brought home from rockhounding.Have used for everything. Latest job was to carefully remove rotten sections of steam pipes and managed to get some elbows off without destroying underlying threads. Plenty of life left in this tool after heavy use.If you're cutting rocks for any period of time, use as good a dust mask as you can find. You don't want to breath in even 5% of silica dust.

Cuts paver blocks quickly, and with precision.
Put this on an angle grinder to trim paver blocks for a patio / retaining wall project. This works amazing. I had done a stair landing with just a chisel and hammer, felt REALLY slow and not as clean cut wise. This works great, but only cuts like 1.25” or so. I did have to cut both sides of the block I was using, and I wore a mask, glasses, gloves all the PPE as it gets VERY dusty. The label has worn off from use but it works great. Saved me so much time and now I have it forever. Quality product. Cheaper than my local hardware store and dropped right outside my door

A little pricey but worth it
These work great for all types of masonry. I bought this to cut the side of a sidewalk flush where it had broken and it worked good. Item arrived on time and a fair price. I highly recommend
