Precision Brand Music Wire,Steel Alloy,0.020"

This wire is breaking within a half note from tuned. I am stringing a double course hammered dulcimer and .020 has absolutely always worked perfectly. A lot of oxidization on the wire when arrived. My hands are all black. I'll now recoil it and send it back because its too dangerous to use. I wear eye protection at least.
