Quick, easy, bright.
I'd prefer a 2700k light over 5000k, which this one is. So it's a bit cool for my tastes. However, it installs very quickly. I removed the stupid halogen bulb from the fan, cut/strip the wires and shoved them into this devices wire receptacle. The magnets are good enough to hold in place. Boom, plenty of light, dims nicely.

Perfect if you have a ceiling light that has a central post holding the shade in place.

Works good-until it doesn't.
Can't say anything negative about the build quality and the light output, fitting well into the average ceiling fan. It worked good for a year and then started to flicker for weeks, finally only one half of the board lit dimly.While trouble shooting I noticed that -depending on wiring polarity- the aluminum backing has a 50VAC potential to ground. That is leathal under the right circumstances.At this time I'm claiming the famous 2-year warranty, waiting for the sellers response.Update:6 days later no response from SIOMEN. If anyone here managed to go through with a warranty claim, please post. That's now going to be a one star review for subpar customer service and engineering when it comes to safety standards.Update:Amazon customer service (India this time) is stalling, no help from them.Contacted SIOMEN again bypassing the robot. I hear that this LED kit is known for having a problem and they will replace it. Just not through Amazon.Upgraded to 4 stars for customer service.Update: Had to provide my address to the seller (against Amazon recommendations) and they sent me a replacement that came in a de-faced package, likely from a return pile. But it works. 5-stars for making things right

Another conversion from a Halogen light for me.
The 250 watt Halogen light in my bathroom finally burnt out and I wanted to convert it to LED. There are drop-in Halogen bulb replacements but this is a bathroom light and there was a lot of rust in it so I decided replace everything in the light to be safe. This light fit perfectly inside it with the magnets holding the LED PC board onto the metal interior of the light. I'd say it puts out as much light as the Halogen bulb did but, full disclosure, the light is a lot cleaner now.The light comes with wimpy plastic "knuckle" connectors that barely held onto the wires. I didn't feel comfortable using these so I stripped more insulation off of the wires and used standard blue wire nuts.

The magnets are the genius here.
Retrofitting a ceiling fan was a breeze once we realized that we didn't have to use the screw mounts to mount the new light. The screws didn't line up to the fan at all -- not even close. But the magnets hold the lamp firmly in place. I'll be buying more to retrofit other fans and ceiling fixtures.

Brilliant! And so simple!
We have a Fanimation Slinger v2 fan but the LEDs are a yellowish light, and I'm a fan (ha) of daylight white. This LED is PERFECT! I would recommend getting smaller wire caps than those that come with it, as the thickness of the caps provided make it difficult to smush it down enough for all three magnetic feet to touch the surface, but when I swapped out for smaller ones it worked quite well.I'm really delighted at how simple this was and how nice the design of this led is. Now I'm thinking about all the other lights I could wire like this :)

only lasted 9 months
installed this as a retrofit in a bathroom fan. it started to flicker after about 9 months. it finally just gave out. I increased my rating as their support contacted me via email to help with the defective unit.

Stopped working after one year
We bought this light almost exactly one year ago. About 1-2 months ago it started flashing between the 2 light modes randomly. Today is completely stopped working. It’s a shame. The light was awesome when it was new. Brought a lot of additional light to our minka ceiling fan. I’ll have to order a new one because it was necessary to alter the original fan to make it for/work. It’s a shame that it didn’t last longer than a year… that’s kind of the point of led lights.
