I am a consultant working on a new curriculum for our schools dealing with issues related to racial equality. Knowing the topic might elicit some uneasy feelings, I went searching for something 'kid friendly' to supplement the other more subject based materials. The Principal at our first school was thrilled by this choice and is also using it for students who receive detention. Being a teen is tough and too many times, we don't have or give guidance about dealing with their emotional roller coasters. These books are a quick read and our student facilitators give them a thumbs up! Also, recommend Totally Tolerant with similar teen friendly formatting and a positive approach to a difficult topic.
