Best adapter for Mac Book Pros
I’ve seen a few adapters like this, but right now, I think this is one of the better ones. Perfect for laptops. If you have a new Mac Book Pro, ya... you were forced to figure something out quick for your USB devices. Gives you 4 USB ports. 3 of them are for USB 3.0 which is great and has two other slots for Micro SD cards which is nice because of my cameras. Also very reasonable for the price. Even lets me use my capture card for streaming compared to another adapter I got that wouldn’t work.My only, and my only down side... it has a Micro SD with adapter slot, but it’s too small for anything I have. Which is fine ultimately because I only need 1 and I can connect my other camera through USB but was just something to note I guess. Maybe I have the wrong idea what the spot is for. Overall great but do be warned, it does get warm. Make sure it’s not covered up by anything. I’m sure it can get too hot and mess up a few things. So do be careful.

buy it . no mistake
I own a new MacBook , Which has two USB type c ports. In order to make the MacBook to work with legacy USB devices , I need a USB type c hub . I purchased a USB-C hub before this one. The 1st has minor issue for connectivity. This is the 2nd USB-c hub I purchased. I was impressed by the versatile functions of this USB-C hub. I After I tested couple days during Memorial Day season , I have to rate it more than 5 stars. In one setting , I plug USB mouse , printer and iPhone 6plus to 3 USB ports , one SD and one Micro SD card to SD card slots. These plugged-in device all work as supposed to do. Reading large picture and video file from SD card is as fast as read from USB3 card reader. Also I like the slim design of the hub. It takes small space from my desktop. The patch cable looks stronger than regular USB cable . The both end of cable are reinforced by rubber studs to ensure the durability. To my surprise , there is an extra USB to USB-c adapter included as gift . It is a great help when I travel with MacBook. It is a great buy , worth the money .

Quality product.
We have six laptops in the office and much data is moved between them. I originally ordered a USB hub because one employee uses a drone to take pictures which are on an SD card. Once the others realized we had the hub, more of them used it as well. I had to order this one as a back-up so others didn't have to wait to use it.It works very well so far. We have only used it for the SD card and not the other ports yet. It has an internal blue light that turns on when it is plugged into the MacBook. I like that feature since you know it is getting power. It is pretty fast at transferring the data which is 90% photos. It does not get bogged down moving them off the SD to the other files and there were over 700 of them!I'm quite happy with this hub! It is very lightweight yet has a strong cord. Nothing that is going to get ripped, broken or torn unless you are taking scissors or pliers to it. I will order more if it comes to that.

Good, but you need to read the description to understand what you are getting.
I bought this to place on my computer desk so I don't have to connect my external drives or other USB accessories to my desktop (which ironically is under my desk). This will serve your needs if you read what is included very carefully.Pros:- Functions well and I have tested it and it will easily connect and power two external drives and an SD card simultaneously. (There are 3 USB ports, but I only tested 2 and the SD card at once)- I especially like the SD card reader, which is sort of spring loaded like my DSLR. You push it in and click, then when you want to remove the SD card, you push in again to eject it. It's a small thing, buy my older Macbook Pro doesn't have this feature, which means I need to pull it out.- The unit is tiny, and it is not bigger than it needs to be.Cons:- The cord is quite short, which meant that I needed to get one of these (AmazonBasics USB 3.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female - 3.3 Feet (1 Meter)) to connect it to my desktop computer.- It says specifically, that they recommend you using a power adapter for powering external drives. Which meant I needed to get one of these as well (Outtag 5V 2.5a 2a (2000ma) Switching Replacement Power AC/DC Adapter Supply Wall Charger W/Multi Tip for raspberry pi 3,Foscam Wireless IP Camera,USB HUB,2.5-inch HDD Enclosure USB Charging Devices)Conclusion:While it isn't so great that you need to get other things to make this work perfectly (at least include the power adapter), I still think that this is a great hub and to be fair, at least they were forthcoming in stating that you needed to purchase the adapter separately. While the company doesn't provide the 5V wall adapter, they do give you a USB to micro USB cable, but again, it is really too short. Fortunately, any extra accessories are very cheap on Amazon, so I would recommend the trifecta of products.
