Holy goodness this thing is ahhh-mazing! I sliced a lemon and clementine in half, placed a glass underneath, easily (EASILY) pulverized each piece—one at a time—and voila!I read absolutely zero directions, as the thing is pretty self explanatory. I did clean each piece before I began, which was so simple. Because I did not read, I probably missed an adjustment somewhere, but I did need to use my left forefinger and thumb to hold the base (lightly) while pulling the lever down with my right hand.Each 1/2 of the fruit was decimated; nothing was left alive in the rind. Excellent!To the finished product I added three drops of stevia and about 1/4 cup of water. Perfection!A note to ponder, I have a horrible back injury and live in intense pain. Sitting, standing, walking, running, laying, twisting...whatever can knock me down in a blink. I share this because the power needed to pull down the lever and activate the “squeeze” of the fruit caused me no distress whatsoever. No twinge or stab, just juice fresh and lovely as it was intended.

I had to give up using a hand squeezer because I just wasn’t strong enough anymore to get all the juice out. This press is sturdy and easy to use. Large oranges to limes all fit!

After reading reviews of motorized juicers and how many times the motors pooped out on them I began to look at these sturdy lever action juicers. Some reviews claimed that you had to hold this juicer down otherwise it "danced" around on the counter. I can tell you that is not true. It has a heavy cast iron stand and stays put.Other advantages are: 1) It gets all of the juice out of the fruit (At least on the Bearss Limes and Lemons that I juiced), and 2) It is very easy to clean.I juiced 22 cups of juice and yes my 76 year old arm was a bit tired, but it has good leverage and is relatively easy to punch down. It is not something I am going to use that often but when need it, it is the "Cat's Meow".

Ok, the good. it IS sturdy. Heavy duty and very easy to use. Very easy to clean. Now for the juicing rating. It extracts about 80% - 90% of the juice from medium to large size oranges. The part of the press that actually contact the fruit could be slightly larger to cover the entire fruit when pressed out. As it is, the edges of the fruit do not get pressed very well, leaving a good deal of juice remaining in the fruit. However, when juicing/squeezing large quantites of fruit, it is good to have a hand press this sturdy and easy to use. Saves the hands and palms.

I am impressed by how much this device presses the oranges and lemons flat. The resulting peel is really thin.The assembly feels very sturdy. It comes with Allen (hex) keys to tighten the fittings - I tightened them before first use. I taped them to the bottom of the stand so not to lose them.It is very easy to clean - 30 seconds and it's ready to go again. Minor complaint - drops of juice find their way to the counter and will dry hard if not cleaned up, so I put a plastic mat underneath the assembly.Highly recommended.

A must have if you squeeze a lot of fruit!! We were squeezing lemons and limes with a had held juicer and our hands would hurt and never got all the juice we should have gotten. This is AMAZING !!! It gets so much juice out of the fruit and it’s effortless and easy to store and clean! I only wished we had gotten it sooner. I definitely would have paid more for this item so it’s absolutely worth it!

Looks sturdy, but isn't really as good as it looks. Steel guide rod runs through cast aluminum top block with no bearing or bushing, so aluminum dust constantly accumulates on the juicing head. Height position of top block and lower fruit support are set with set screws that are hard to torque enough to hold the parts in place without stripping the head of the screws. Hard to get enough force to start squishing citrus if the fruit is centered, so I put it on the side at an angle.I probably wouldn't buy this again. However, I have been using it for a couple years and it does juice my citrus, so I haven't bothered to spend a lot more on a better one. I only use it for oranges and grapefruit, as limes and lemons are easier in the hand squeezer.Oh, and don't leave the handle up, it'll fall down eventually and break something.

Huge time saver. So far I’ve run 30 or so bags of lemons through this press and it’s been flawless. Works great for limes as well but does not like grapefruit. My wife prefers less pulp so I strain the juice but it’s a small price to pay for such a huge time and effort savings!
