Good for what I needed it for!
I love that it is lightweight and smaller. It's not tablet size, but its not bulky like other laptops. I bought it for my home based business and it works great. The down side is that when you first start it up and set it up it is set as Windows 10 S and you are unable to install apps that are not Microsoft approved like Chrome, Firefox, Facebook Messenger, and Adobe Acrobat. However, you can find similar apps on the Microsoft store. If you would rather have Win 10 then you can switch to it from either the Microsoft store or your settings. You will lose some of the Windows 10 S features like the extra security protection. Another reason I gave 4 stars on storage capacity is that there is only 5 gigs of one drive space. You can either upgrade or if you have a family or business version of Microsoft Office 365 then you'll have the full 1TB of one drive space. I plan to upgrade the hard drive in the future to a 1TB.Overall, it is a great buy and perfect for what I need it for. I chose to keep the Win 10 S as the operating system. And I just transferred my files to my one drive account I have associated with Microsoft Family so I have all my files. I just delete what I don't need from my main account after it has been uploaded to my secondary account. Just a word of warning you are not able to link Microsoft accounts to each other so make sure when you set up your laptop that you choose the account you want to login with because once it is set it cannot be changed.

Good but One Annoying Problem
Nice design. Very light. Good keyboard. Good battery life. Touchpad was a little too sensitive but was able to adjust that. The annoying problem isn't with the HP but with Windows 10. My internet drops 3 or 4 times a day. I have found several workarounds online - can't call them fixes since they are temporary. Hopefully Microsoft will come out with a fix soon. We have 4 laptops in the house. This is the only one with Windows 10 and the only one behaving this way.

Is not the best, but it does its work.
I purchase this laptop as an emergency laptop when I can't use desktop, mostly doing pixel-art/8-bit art, from illustrating to animating each art. Also, perfect for making common tasks like writing a doc, making a presentation, browsing on ethernet, etc. I can push it a little more using other software like Affinity Suite, and surprisingly works very well (not the best performance, but you can get the work done).NOTE: Speakers are bad, like REALLY BAD. They died in like two months, having high peaks in the sound.

Decent for the cost
Overall a good laptop for the price.Pros:CostCons:Washed out screen colorsI bought this laptop to install Kali Linux. Normally this is a straight forward thing to do. I did run into a few issues though. You have to disable secure boot to install a different operating system. Once that was disabled I was able to install Kali. There were no native drivers for the WiFi card available though I was able to install the drivers from a gentleman who built them for Ubuntu distributions. Once I installed the drivers, everything was working beautifully. Overall happy with the purchase. Should be a good system to get through OSCP and OSWE certifications.

The Laptop With Problems
I bought this laptop one year ago, the date was June 18, 2020. I use this laptop for work purposes only. I am a bookkeeper by trade. About four months ago it started to run very slowly for a few days. After which it returned to normal for about one week then I started getting the "hard drive failure imminent" message when I turned it on. Upon research I discovered that my drive is failing, and I need back up my data then replace my hard drive.I am really disappointed in this HP Laptop and now I'm starting to have problems with my HP Printer but that's for another review, but I am now starting to rethink my decision to purchase HP products. We I have time one day someone will have to explain to me, exactly what support does. I keep being told to visit the Forums to find answers. I thought they were the experts but instead they want me to visit the internet and view viable solutions from other people that may have the same issue. The good thing is that it will run on battery power for a number of hours of heavy heavy use, but a few days otherwilse.
