I purchased the 30L specifically for the Coleman zero degree mummy bag to make it easier than putting it in the bag it came with. It's even tighter. This would need to be at least two to three inches wider for it to be an easy fit. I want packing out to be quick and easy. This one is just too small if you don't want to struggle.

without owning the hennessy explore deluxe... I could not answer this. However, here are my thoughts. It ( the hammock ) looks light weight and will probably compress pretty well so I am guessing you are correct. That being said these compression sacks are great and if you buy the 30l you do not need to use all that space, the sack will still compress, so its hard to go wrong. And the price is good so it's hard to lose. I use mine for dirty laundry on trips and find them super convenient, so I suspect you'll find a use for it in any case.
