I love these. I bought them for my husband for our anniversary (12 year, Jade) as he had chimes growing up and is sentimental about the sound. The chimes are beautiful to look at and listen to without being too loud. They aren't as touchy as most chimes seem to be. In other words, it isn't just chimes all day and night. It is when there is a nice breeze or more. Bonus, the little stone on the bottom reflects light and sheds a light on the sunroom floor that my cat likes to chase around in the morning. It's a nice way to wake up, watching that little goof and listening to the chimes.

I recently purchased the Woodstock Celtic Chime along with the Woodstock Passport Chime - Celtic Cross, which is a similarly tuned smaller model of the larger Celtic Chime. Of the two, the larger Woodstock Celtic Chime is the one that I recommend.For one, it looks absolutely beautiful with the green agate stone. Also, no two chimes will look the same because every stone will look slightly different. Even slight breezes will cause it to produce the most haunting and beautiful melodies, since the wooden disk in the middle is large enough to hit the metal tubes with small movement. Also, depending on the wind strength and direction, the melodies it plays change, sometimes more up-beat, sometimes more melancholic, but always beautiful. We have a lot of wind chimes in my neighborhood, but this one distinctively stands out, because it really sounds like celtic music, not just miscellaneous sounds, like so many other chimes.If you are looking to buy a Celtic wind chime, pay the extra money and order this bigger one. The smaller version, the Woodstock Passport Chime - Celtic Cross, sounds just as beautiful, just an octave higher, but it is not constructed very well. The Celtic cross at the end is way too light and lets too much air through, so it takes very strong winds to coax any sounds out of the chime. On top of that, the little round stone in the center is too small to really hit the metal tubes hard enough to make a solid sound. When the wind hits, it moves the whole chime, but you only get the very occasional sound, and only if the wind is super-strong.

I just bought and received the Woodstock Celtic Wind Chimes. I bought them as a gift for my brother and sister-in-law, specifically because of her Irish heritage. I own a different set of the woodstock wind chimes and think that it's a beautiful product. I have confidence that these chimes will also be a quality product and play beautifully. However, the description of the genuine agate windcatcher with silk-screened gold Celtic knot is inaccurate. There is no gold Celtic knot. One of the other reviewers said the same thing and I thought maybe her set was an isolated incident. Not so. I'm going to keep the set, but really wish the product description had been accurate. I'm disappointed that there is no Celtic knot.

I am amazed at how great the sound is! These are such beautiful chimes. I got them as a Christmas gift for my mom, who simply loves wind chimes. Usually, my father complains about them, but he thought these were beautiful, too. And they’re not so loud as to anger the neighbors if they don’t like it (...but... why wouldn’t they like it?...). I don’t really like the green agate that came with it. But my mother didn’t care what it looked like, only what it sounded like, and it is still nice looking. It isn’t as if we’re going to be forced to take it down because the ugly is scaring children. That would have to be a spectacularly ugly agate.I would like to mention that I didn’t buy it for any Celtic/Irish/ancestry/familial reasons. I’m not even sure if my mom or I have Irish ancestry. I simply thought it was beautiful.

I searched a long time before finally resting on the Woodstock Celtic Chime. A perk from Amazon's web site is the ability to listen to the chime before it arrives at your door so that you know what you're buying.It has a mid range tone, not too deep, but not ear piercingly high, either. The music it creates is wonderful and relaxing.My live in boyfriend protested the very thought of putting a wind chime outside our living room window, but when he realized that when the windows are open and he easily drifts off to sleep it's not the noise from the television causing this! He loves the chime, now, as well, because it causes him to relax and drift off.It's exactly what I was looking for and isn't annoying in the least bit. The slightest gust of wind sets it off giving you hours of listening pleasure.

This purchase was for the exact same wind chime that broke after years of use. The pendulum type jade was 1/3rd the size of my original. It was the first thing I noticed, but figured Woodstock knew what they were doing. Sadly, barely a chime comes with this one now. It is ever so sad to see the changes made to save money. I would have exchanged it but by the time I put it up the return time frame had expired. So disappointed in Woodstock.

The sound is beautiful but they rarely chime. The rock pendulum is too heavy. Bad design. It is on a screened porch in an area that gets wind but even in a storm it doesn't chime.

The sound is rich and this chime is nice looking. I enjoy listening to it out in my yard all summer!

Very peasant chime. Recommended. Not very loud but very restful.

This is a quality medium size wind chime. The tubes range in size from 10" to 12" but there are only 5 tubes, not the 6 as stated in the description. The agate wind catcher is a very nice special feature. I was not disappointed with the chime melody and found it more pleasing then most other medium sized chimes. However it is not worth the retail price; wait for at least 50% discount .
