Good quality
Used to add an outlet in our house. Worked like a charm, easy install into pre-existing wall.

These are great for adding boxes to "old work"
These work great. The only issue I've had is specific to my house, not a problem with the boxes. In one room the wall isn't just drywall but has an additional 3/4 inch of wall cover decor. For those locations I had to buy longer screws for the locking tabs, and that worked. Be careful when unscrewing - it is difficult but not impossible to unscrew too far, and allow the tab to fall into the wall cavity.

Ordered 12, got 12.
The 12 I ordered came in a padded shipping bag, and they all made it without any damage. These are a must when replacing old manufactured home quick outlets that no longer follow code, and can be dangerous. The reason you need the drywall boxes, is because the quick outlets are NEVER attached to a stud, but are installed on the thin wood paneling.

An expensive necessity for certain projects
These are more expensive than at the Home Depot. Also they are shollow. Not super shallow, but can make installing smart switches a pain. Especially with thicker wiring, like 10 gauge. Probably easy for the pros, but harder for DIYers like myself. The ones at home depot are deeper and cheaper, lol, but good luck finding them in stock. These are perfect depth for electrical outlets, coax, ethernet, phone, regular switches. But a little shallow for smart switches. Not impossible, just more difficult to get all the wires pressed back enough to get the switch in properly. If I could always find the deeper, cheaper ones at Home Depot, I would probably never buy these, but alas...that is not the case.Good product though. As the other reviews state, prescrew the screws in and out a few times to loosen them up. The threads have to be cut in the plastic ears before they get easy to screw. This is the nature of this type of old work box. They are all like this, and shouldn't be considered a flaw, just the nature of the beast.I have never stripped a screw out doing it this way. Plus you should probably be using an electric impact, not a hand held screwdriver when working with Phillips screws.

Short Supply
Typically you could buy these from any big box home improvement store, but these days they are scarce as hens teeth in my area. I have used this product many times and it accomplishes it's purpose.Though it is obvious how to use it, for those new to it I might suggest you operate the the screws that draw in the clamps in order to loosen them up before installing. And if you need to loosen the clamps after installation if you back out the screws too far the clamps will fall off behind the wall.

fantastic Product
Excellent for adding switches or outlets to remodels. No need for an anchor stud the fasten the box to. This makes putting an outlet or a switch virtually anywhere there is drywall.

Perfect item for installation of new power outlets
Purchased it to install some GFCI outlets in my garage. Was quite satisfied with the quality and used material pretty tough plastic). The installation was flawless. Was disappointed when found the same item at local Home Depot for $1.84, but it is not a big deal.I am a certified technician with electrician networks approval level 2, can not recommend to make such installations for everybody. Possible electrical damage is not a joke.
