Works amazing, hold a ton of sugar water.Especially when they’re really going through it.And Little to know Dead bees in it

Pros-The construction quality was great.The bends did not leak.I didn't see any dead bees in the bends.Cons-I wish the boxes were coated in beeswax to prevent rot. I like the wood grain look better than painted boxes.The boxes are heavy and awkward to carry when full. I suggest only filling it up half way.Overall-I would buy again. Shipping was average time and the boxes were undamaged. They came preassembled.

I coated this with beeswax a few times and got it to stop leaking.I wish they offered an unsealed version so I could have just put food grade silicone on the bottom. It’s much harder to do that when it is sealed with wax which the bees eat anyways.I have refilled mine 4 times already. Each time I check the hive to see if it is leaking yet.

I looked at all options for feeding my hive and this was the best. It holds a lot and it is easy for the bees to access. Fits in between brood box and cover.

I ordered 2 of these top feeders. They came very quickly which was nice however, the quality was less than expected. There were globs of wax in the chambers, and the floor of 2 of the 4 chambers were not attached. I renailed the floors in and that only showed me the poor fit of the floors. I should have returned them then but I was desperate. I reheated the globs of wax to fill in the seams and that seemed to work until the next day the wax had separated from the wood sides and in the corners like the wood was wax phobic which would make the chambers leak.

Toughtimbers seller is using Little Larue Apiary LLc photos and item details for this bee top feeder that I originally received. The product received was put together with nails, cheap pine, wrong height, no handles, etc. and was not anything like the picture. Luckily the owners of Little Larue Apiary explained the issue with the Toughtimbers seller, honored my order and shipped me two as described. (See photos attached) Pls verify your seller is Little Larue Apiary if you purchase until Amazon removes Toughtimbers bogus listing so you receive the Little Larue Apiary product. Your bees will thank you!!!
