Incredible for the price
What's great about these:- Noise cancelling works well against low frequency noise, such as airplane, train, or traffic noise.- Battery life is fantastic. You can listen to these for an entire long flight, and still have plenty of juice left.- Bluetooth is reliable and has a suitably long range.- Microphone works well for phone calls. I haven't had any complaints about the sound quality coming from my end.- Comfortable. Headband adjustments have a positive 'click', and stay set to the length you choose without slipping.- Not fragile. I have knocked them around a fair amount, and they are fine.- If you want to use them as wired headphones, you can. You just need an audio cable to plug into the 3.5mm jack on the headphones.- Sound quality is good. There are some minor downsides:- The weight of the headphones can be fatiguing on a long flight or train ride.- Having to press-and-hold the button while listening and waiting for the headphones to say "power on"/"power off" is annoying. A simple on/off switch, like the switch used for the noise cancelling, would be better.---Update: It has been approximately 1.4 years since my purchase.I still stand by my review above, with one caveat: I purchased them for $53.71. The price is $98.51 at the time of this update. My original headline of "incredible for the price" should be interpreted with that significant price increase in mind.

Good value for money
For this price, this is an excellent product.I'm not a professional audio geek but listen to occasional Bollywood songs and audiobooks.I was not comfortable spending 150+ for a headphone and bought this based on recommendation from an office colleague (who happens to be a audiophile:))Pros.....Rich sound. Not too much bass but nice balanced sound...Noise cancellation mode is really good; completely cuts off the outside noise....Easy to operate and pair/unpair...Sturdy build quality...Can be used in either wired/wireless mode....No need of batteries to charge, charge it using the usb cable provided...Decent range from bedroom to drawing room, no sound drop..Cons..Nothing so far but refer to 'points to be noted' section.Points to be noted..If you have a really big head, this might not fit you.If you have a Sony Smart TV, most probably you wont be able to pair it with that. Not Monoprice's fault but blame it on Sony.

ANC non existent
I bought these based on the review that someone had written about switching to an open air office/cubicle style. I to work in one of those and come peak sales season when everyone is on the phone I cannot focus on my work (not sales) for the life of me, so i was excited to read that he had found success with them. Unfortunately, the ANC in my opinion is non existent. I tested them out while 1 coworker beside me was on the phone and while it removed a tiny bit of pitch, i could hear him loud and clear still. The volume level on music and comfort are 4.5 star worthy, better than my Skullcandy over ear ones by far! But I need ANC... so these are going back.

Great headphones and noise cancelling works well
To start off I've tried a lot of amazon Bluetooth over the ear headphones under the $100 range. I've tried the avantree, avantree audition pro, alpatronix, ghost tek so drop 2's and photive bth3. In trying all these headphones I thought I would never find a Bluetooth pair that would work. The avantree would not fit over my ears, the pros were unbalanced in sound (but had good sound quality and comfort, I may have just got a bad unit). The alpatronix had good build quality, but it would scratch out every time you switched a track and super lag between what you are seeing and hearing in movies. The so drop 2's were close, they had good sound and comfort, but they were a little too bass heavy for my liking (if you like bass try those). And the photives were just trash, the audio was terrible especially with guitar (sounded super scratchy), they were supposed to be over ear but were on ear and uncomfortable. Now to get to the sonic solace! Really great sound, especially compared to the few I've listed. I really thought that I could not get a good sounding pair of headphones for under $100, but these were super well balanced. I listen to a lot of instrumentals, some rap, beats, folk, oldies, and stuff like Coldplay along with some pop. Everything I have tried with these I like, I don't hear any distortion and the sound is balanced. Bass is good, mids and highs are also good. Now the noise cancelling is definitely what you pay for, it won't be Bose or Sony level, but it does work. Now what it does not do is cancel out voices, if people are talking you can still hear it pretty clear. But the louder the music is the better it works. Now what it does cancel is plane engine noise very well, I would say it cuts out about 90%, which is excellent when you are flying a couple hours on the window seat over the wing. The final line is that these headphones do a lot for $70, and from what I've seen and experienced you will have to spend a lot more to get sound and noise cancelling.
