Painters Tape

Frogtape substitute imo. Great for wall trims just need to keep it properly stored. Always peel off while walls are wet. If using a paint sprayer make sure not to have paint dust settle over it. Plastic bag should work fine. I found the gel wouldn't stick as well toward the end of the roll but could just been my mishandling. Overall solid for everyday projects.

To preface, I make custom glass enclosures for inverts. I am basing this review in regards to glass. I purchased this product to mask off silicone on glass pieces prior to assembling. Doing so makes a clean silicone line and makes it very appealing. I have used 3M and Frog Tape before, and this is what I prefer among the three. STIKK easily loses its adhesion ability on the glass if not thoroughly cleaned. Even if cleaned, STIKK sticks onto glass the least among the other brands I’ve used. This characteristic, however, is quite useful when peeling off the tape to reveal the silicone line. To ensure a great bond, I often needed to apply great pressure onto every area of contact bc if not, the tape would slowly unstick at the ends. I plan to try the Scotch brand to see if I like them more, but I’m quite pleased with the purchase considering the price compared to other brands and the area of work I use this for.

I use watercolor with this tape and it works well for me. It takes a little getting used to; I go over the tape on my paper it with my fingers and use a bone folder or card or fingernails on the corners to get it to stick well. There has been times where speaks of paint leaks out but I just use some white to cover it. But it sticks well to the paper.. overall I’ve learned to like this tape. I just saw they offer different colors so when I run out I’ll get more.

For my design classes, the thin tape was perfect. Easy to tear off pieces of tape, many of them held things together well. They did very small damage to the paper, but with sticking the tape pieces to the table/clothes first and then applying it to paper worked without issue! Drawing with watercolors, this tape works well with framing the picture (no paint goes underneath if applied correctly) - Overall, very handy. I have it still and it has been a few months, literally use it nearly every week or so. Great price for such a handy set of tape rolls! 💖💙💖

While I cannot speak for this tapes ability in helping with painting, I can attest that it's PERFECT for what I needed it for. I am a crafter, and I also create shirts using a shirt press. I've ordered a number of different tapes that were said to be specifically for my craft, yet they would always leave a residue on the fabrics I taped down. This tape has been the only one I've found that does the job of keeping everything firmly in place & also doesn't leave any bit of residue on anything I'm taping down. Also, if I am correct on this, and I believe I am, we had our home professionally painted around a year ago & I'm certain that the fellows painting used a blue tape when they worked on our house. My guess would be that this tape would work fantastic for what it's advertised for as well. It sticks well & stays put. It's also easy to remove when you're ready to peel it off. Can't really ask for me. 5 stars 🌟 from me!

I thought I was bringing home a trusty sidekick for my painting projects, but instead, I got a tape that seems to have graduated from the Houdini School of Disappearing Acts. This painter tape was about as reliable as a cat at bath time. From the moment I unrolled it, I could tell something was off. The tack was so weak, it made a wet noodle look like a bodybuilder. I applied it with all the hope in the world, only to watch it peel away faster than my motivation to clean up after a project. I swear I heard it laughing as it released its grip on my walls! As for holding power? Let’s just say it didn’t last long enough for me to finish a single wall without reapplying. If only my paint job could hold onto this tape as tightly as this tape held onto its dreams of being useful. In the end, I’m left with a painted masterpiece and a tape that’s more of a “goodbye” than a “hold on.” Do yourself a favor and invest in a product that knows what it means to stick around. This one? It’s gone with the wind!
