Great pack for day hunts
Excellent hunting pack! Perfect for day hunts. I absolutely love it, not too big, not too small, just right. I do not like a pack that is too big, not only do I tend to pack too much stuff for my day in the field, only to regret it halfway through the day, but things don't stay put in a large pack, everything just starts to settle down to the bottom, creating a big wad of weight down low and lots of emptiness in the upper half - very uncomfortable. This pack holds just enough for an entire day out: 2.5L hydration bladder, food, first aid kit, rope, 2 extra bottles of water, etc. and does so with just the right amount of space so everything stays where I put it when I first zipped it up. For the money, I really didn't expect anything special, but the material exceeded my expectations- very soft and quiet when brushing up against branches and things, (arguably the most important part of this pack). Also really like the fact that each compartment has double zippers, this is very handy. And last but not least, I LOVE how they spaced the padding where the pack rests on my back, very comfortable and lets things breathe a little bit. I should also add that I'm writing this review under my wife's account, I have read other reviews about it being a little small and can see where that could be an issue for a bigger guy, (I am 5'10", 165lbs. and for my frame, this pack fits like a glove). If you hunt like me, pack on your back, bow in your hand and like to cover some ground each day, this pack is about as good as they come. Are better backpacks made? Absolutely. Are you going to get a better pack for the price of this one? Nope.

I want to write this review. I bought 1 then another. Now I am buying 2 more, 1 to use now and one as a back-up.The price is great and the amount of room inside this bag is incredible. I can't speak about the reported issues for larger people but I find it appropriate to comment about the amount of space inside this bag.I saw this review:ByEddieon January 15, 2015When I hunt, I like to bring quite a bit into the woods with me. A thermos, extra/different hat, maybe a shirt, calls, lunch, etc.... This backpack wouldn't be able to hold everything I need.Obviously he doesn't have this bag. For the items he described as not fitting in the bag, he could have put 10 of these combined items inside!Unless of course he brings enough lunch to feed 10 people. My point is, I watched a review video and the person put a small tent in the bag. So I tried it. And it fits, along with a lot of other stuff.Until now, I never used more than a fanny pack. So of course, this is much bigger but the amount of stuff this bag holds more than compensates for its size.If you need more space, spend the money and buy a full sized framed backpack. Such an item will definitely have more space )I am impressed with the quality and space in this bag.

Hunter's backpack
Anyone who has done any backpacking knows that with a well made pack you carry the weight on your hips, not your shoulders. That's why I chose this pack, it was advertised to come with a padded waste belt. And it did, sort of. Which brings me to my one and only complaint about this pack. The padded section of the waste belt is too short. As if that's where this manufacturer decided to shave cost. The padded section should come around your waste and end about where your front hip bones are with only about 6-8 inches of belt left. This packs padded section just barely goes around your waste before going to belt material. Now that that's out of the way, This was bought as a hunting day pack, not a trekking week or more pack. So size wise and overall quality are great. You shouldn't have any trouble finding somewhere to put all of your field, hunting and survival needs. As long as you are realistic about your needs.

nice day pack
This backpack is small and that is why I bought it. It is perfect for a day hunt. It is small enough to be able to carry your rifle on your shoulder comfortably.Today a friend and I went scouting and I brought it with me. While we hiked I carried everything we needed. 2 water bottles in the 2 mesh water bottle pockets. Extra water in the main compartment, sweatshirts, and a few other things.I am 5 foot 8 and my buddy is 6 foot 5 this back pack fit both of us comfortably. The backpack has one main compartment that has a spot for a bladder, and a mesh pocket with a zipper. On the outside there are two compartments the top one fits a pair of 10x42 binoculars perfectly, the bottom pocket is very roomy.Do not buy this backpack if you are looking for a large pack. Like the title says it's a day pack. It's small but exactly what i was looking for.

This ended up being perfect. It has two smaller pouches on the bottom ...
This is a solid all-around backpack. I took quite some time trying to pick the right one for my needs that was also going to be the right size for hunting. This ended up being perfect. It has two smaller pouches on the bottom and front middle of the pack and then one large pouch in the back. Inside of the large space are two different dividers. One is a spot to put a camelback bladder and the other is just a zippered pouch. It also has a small outlet for the camelback hose to pop out of the top of the pack. It has netting on either side for water bottles as well as straps to tie items to the pack if necessary. Lastly, it's a very comfortable and secure fit with multiple points to secure and anchor it to your back and chest. Love this pack!

Sturdy and Reliable.
I bought this for my husband and this is what he told me:I wanted to wait about a year before I wrote a review. I use my backpack everyday. I bring it to work and I also bring it on my hunting and fishing trips through the year. The bag is a perfect day pack. Not a single zipper has ever stuck on me or broke, the straps are strong, the camo is nice and the price was great. I have washed it a couple times and the color didn't fade or anything which was really nice. I would 100% buy another one but I don't think I will ever need another. this pack is great. highly recommend as a day pack/everyday pack..

Ottimo
Bellissimo, però avrei preferito che ci fossero degli attacchi molle per aggiungere lacci o strumentazioni in più, resta comunque un ottimo prodotto

Great Pack, Great Price.
I really wish there was a 4-1/2 star button! This is a pretty solid hunting pack. The construction is excellent with a super quiet material. I would recommend getting some shaving kit size bags to organize the inside a bit. The large pockets are great to put gear while taking off layers. I really like the lower pocket, it fits a micro mummy sleeping bag inside like a glove. The bottle holder mesh pockets on the outside are great, they hold my bottles without a problem. While it does have the provisions for a bladder system, I prefer a single walled stainless bottle. The bottle holders also double as a great spot to put a tripod or small tent. The cinch straps on the side help to pull the pack in tight and also hold any other gear tight to the pack. The external lashing points make attaching extra gear an easy task. The back venting channel is also functional and helps to direct air to your back to prevent sweating. In comparison with a pack that has a wire frame, I found that the channeling works as good or better. The padded waist strap helps distribute the weight between the shoulders and hips without digging in and the breast strap keeps everything in place. All of the fasteners on this pack are good quality. The only issue that I have really had with this pack is that while ALPS put a lot of thought in to making the material quiet, the zippers are not. they can be a bit noisy and I would highly recommend applying some zipper wax to quiet them down. The pack is also not water proof, I recommend applying a heavy layer of spray on water proofing such as "Scotch Guard" to help repel some of the water. If you do, allow lots of time to air it out to keep the scent down. I have also re-purposed a rain-fly from another pack as one is not included with this pack.If you are looking for an excellent pack, get this one, at a fraction of what you would pay for this exact pack at an outfitter store, you will not be disappointed
