Hunza Organic Black-eyed Peas / Cowpeas (5 lbs)

I’m so disappointed with these black-eyed peas. They are full of live bugs! Grossing me out. I threw them away, and they are not cheap.

Super disappointed in delivery. Ordered because I was guaranteed next day. Beans finally arrived but seem very old. Lots of dried out ones, after soaking there were dried skins floating all in the water and many were crunchy long after cooking thoroughly.Will not reorder.

Never had purchased or prepared vlack-eyed peas before, even though I’ve eaten them. It was a nice change of pace to my normal fare of black, red and chickpea legumes with its own distinctive taste. Would like to see them at a lower cost.

Made available at same price as at Indian grocery store near me. Good quality and very tasty. Soak overnight. One minute in instant pot on high. 20 minute natural pressure release. Season to use with rice, burrito or salad.

I have purchased and eaten a lot of organic black-eyed peas, but never had any remotely as poor quality as these. Many of the peas are eaten through by some critter (have holes and tunnels in them), and many are small, stone-hard, shriveled, and yellow. Not at all like the perfect ones in the photo.

The black eyed peas were exactly what we wanted. I soaked them the night they arrived and the next day we made the most delicious barbecued black eyed peas ever!

I prepare and eat Black Eye Peas for New Years every year as a tradition. I am in a place where I could not buy this locally. I was worried this would not come in time, but it actually arrived right on time to keep my tradition. It was packaged in a very durable container and clean contents. It was prepared and was great.

One reviewer found bugs but there were none in mine. The peas were perfect.
