Verissimus: The Stoic Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius

I can't even know where to start with this book. It is just perfect. A perfect introduction to stocisim for every age. A great book with great open ideas, to explore everything in depth.I highly recommend this to every parent with their child over than 14, but most likely the biggest effect it will give after the age of 18. This book is just pure art, aesthetics and knowledge.Great job.

Verissimus is likely the most well researched historical graphic novel that has ever been published. Filled with vibrant imagery that invokes the sights and sounds of ancient Rome, the intriguing storyline of the life and philosophy of Marcus Aurelius pulls the reader in. This is no stuffy, academic text, but is instead a vivid retelling of the life and philosophy of one of history’s most profound leaders. Fantastic read.

Very nice illustration and storyline revealing Marcus Aurelius life-events mixed with Stoic Philosophy teaching. If someone wants to deep-dive into the Stoic Marcus Aurelius this might not be the ideal book, but rather a nice complementary. I am giving the 5 stars mostly for the nice illustrations. For a novel it does its job I guess.

Easily the best graphic novel I've ever read. Quite an enthralling story, with vivid imagery and a truly remarkable narrative. Weird the way I read it in Donalds voice.

As a fan of both graphic novels and Stoic books, I can say that Verissimus excels as both. The book describes the entire life of Marcus Aurelius (Verissimus), but rather than being a dry recounting of his achievements, the book brings Marcus Aurelius to life in scenes that highlight the man.
