The Toltec Oracle Cards – Box set, August 30, 2004

This is very effective and complete as an oracle.There sure has been a lot of work being done writing the book as it is detailed and offers many possibilities to develop oneself well being. But still do I have to add a little something... This Oracle should be Aztec, not Toltec. As we historically know very few about the Toltec and the codices used for this deck are Aztec (the Tonalpohualli designed in the Borgia Codice is nothing but Aztec, for instance).Nahuatl is written in a very strange way, not easy to get for nahuatl-reading users at the first glance. It’s most inspired from english pronunciation and can be confusing to those who know about classical Nahuatl and mexicatl for instance. But it still is readable.Aztec people were very proud to regard themselves as Toltec descendants but here, the Art and Historical matters are pretty much taken from Aztec civilization. It’s not a big deal but it should be said somewhere so people could get proper information about the matter of this book and illustrations.Nevertheless, this is a nice New Age personal developement deck, useful to all people interested in such matters.I recommand it even if the cards are thin and curved, not easy to protect and shuffle.But the whole oracle is worth the price, since we intend not to discover Toltec Tradition but Aztec - and at times, very surprizingly, Wirrarika people, that the author considers being the true descendants of Toltec people ! which is quite unprobable considering the historical side. They might be one of the peoples rooted into the Toltec’s culture, this I don’t know, why not ?, but for sure they are not the « true » one, as the author pretends.So... Beautiful and useful as a personal developement tool ; not that pertinent regarding to History and cultural matter. A beautiful little deck to get more aware of oneself and get peaceful with the world and nature around.

This is one of the most eye opening books of ancient knowledge I have ever read. Aside from teaching me so much about the Toltec and why it is important to note they’re different from the Aztecs, this books had so much spiritual depth. It felt like it was connecting me to these ancient perspectives on the elements ( or Poderios) and how they are alive. It was illuminating on the many faces of the One Spirit, and how much nature meant to the Toltec. The wisdom, spirit and soul in this book is truly a must have for every Spirit worker.

This Oracle keeps being right when I need it to be and is consistently becoming my main deck to consult when I'm lost. I have been studying mesoamerican cosmovision in an attempt to connect with my ancestors from that area, and I disagree with the Author's ideas around Ometeotl and Senteotl semantically, but the concepts fit well within other 'Toltec' ideas that I have come across.Regardless of those criticisms, the deck is beautiful and being able to connect with the daysigns when needed has been so damn wonderful. Pick this up if you're latinx and looking to learn more about indigenous thought and wanting to center your tarot in a more Mexica/Tolteca direction.

I like that it has good research and it is good material to study the Toltec Culture, but also practical to use it to deal with real issues of life.

I love the artwork, book, and packaging, however, the actual cards are made out of such a cheap card stock I don't see that this deck will actually last long which is so disappointing, being indigenous I fell in love with the idea of these cards however the quality of the cards really needs to be improved I am considering laminating my cards so that I can preserve them after a few shuffles I can see these cards will break down due to how thin they are.

Victor Sanchez is a great author. While most authors just co-op Traditional knowledge of various cultures and rehash it., Sanchez does great at presenting Traditional Meso-american wisdom in a practical and contemporary way. This oracle is simple yet very profound. A great asset to one's spiritual library, especially if you are looking for something true to the authentic Indigenous spirit and dislike the monotonous new age garbage that's out there these days.

This is a beautiful tool that I resonate with.

As a practitioner, this is the best Oracle I have used. Don Sanchez explores the world of the Toltec and brings deep and authentic insight into the interpretation of the cards. I would not recommend this Oracle for the novice or beginner, but for the experienced shamanic practitioner, it opens up the wonderful world of the Toltec teachings.

I would recommend these cards to anyone who is interested in Toltec ancient mysticism or for those interested in other oracle cards of any kind. The readings I have done have been bang on. Amazing.
