Emmett and Jez (Adventures in Fosterland)

I bought both books and I just love them. My 6 year old and my 12 year old both loved them exqually. The way the stories are written is just so adorable and not "childish" at all. It's very entertaining to read even for an adult. And knowing that these books are based on true stories and support a rescue makes it 100 times better. I would recommend these books to anybody. They make great gifts too. I am in love

One day, Emmett, a tiny piglet, finds himself bouncing off a truck and landing in a ditch. Alone, lost, and terribly hungry, Emmett has no idea who he is or where he should go. Then, a giant scoops him up and takes him to Fosterland where he meets his best friend, Jez, a tiny, three-legged kitten. While in Fosterland, Emmett learns about friendship and what it means t o be a foster kitten, or in his case a foster piglet!I have been waiting months for this book to come out. Hannah Shaw, or the Kitten Lady, is one of my favorite people I follow on Instagram. She has made a huge difference in so many animals' lives. This story is based on the true rescues of both Emmett and Jez and their interactions that she witnessed. Kids of all ages in elementary school will love reading this heart-warming animal story! I know I enjoyed it immensely and am now looking up all the real pictures the Kitten Lady has of those two!

I loved this story because it’s not only about a pig and a kitten but two souls in bad need of love that found it together, if only humans could be so loving.

This is a beautiful story, so well written and illustrated, and truly brings to life the animals' points of view. I read it to my little girl (16 months) while we were with my mom and it had all of us engaged. It was a wonderful story that provides great family time reading. Whether you get this to help teach your young reader some chapter book skills or because you want a lighthearted book to bring you joy, you won't regret your purchase.

I didn't know anything about the real animals this book portrays. So I started reading it really pulled me in immediately. This writer writing style flows very easily so for kids I think it will be a easy read. The illustrations are awesome too. It will help bring the characters to life in a child's head. As a 53 year old adult I loved it. I wanted a easy read and a wonderful story that is exactly what I got.

I watched this duo grow up on Instagram. How awesome to be able to read their story from their perspective. I can’t wait to share the book with my grands! Excited for more in the series. Great Job Hannah!

I have been following Hannah from the beginning!!!she has written these books for all ages to enjoy and are so good for little ones.She is a powerhouse in a small package and has saved the lives of many kittens and other animals.The world is a better place with Hannah in it.
