Plantronics Savi W745 Earset 86507-01

Great setup. You will appreciate the great sound quality. This earset is very comfortable and I use it all day without issue. The battery can be changed without dropping a call. This is the best earset I have had.

This works great with a phone, computer, and cell phone. The range is exceptional (you have to leave your cell phone near the base for bluetooth as the phone connects to the base and the base connects to the headset) through multiple drywalls and floors. I got one of the ear hook and earpiece to fit well enough. It is not the most comfortable but I could use it for hours without much irritation/readjusting. The mic is a bit long which might bother some.Now to the only issue I had with this model is the sound quality. It sounds like everything is pushed to the a lower frequency and it makes it more difficult to understand what is being said. Everyone on the other side can hear me fine, but I had trouble hearing what they were saying. I could hear the average person well enough that I was willing to work with this issue. However, after having a few calls with people from other parts of the world, it was just impossible to understand what was being said consistently. I switched to a 10 year old Voyager Edge and that came through 10x clearer.Side notes: The Plantronics Hub app can be used to update the base firmware. The newer version lets you stream media to the headset (this was an issue with bluetooh connection where it stops working for anything except phone calls after disconect/reconnect from moving your phone too far from the base station). The app also stated my unit was a w740, but it was sold as a w745 with a base that can charge a second battery and the second battery was included. Not sure if there is actually a w745 version or if w740 and w745 is the exact same unit with different base and the additional battery.

This works great, great sound quality and noise cancelation. Loss of 1 star as it does not have a large range before you start losing connection. Product is in the basement, but when I go up a flight of stairs (6 steps) and out to my back porch, which is about a hundred feet from the basement, I start losing connection and conversation is spotty. I use a plantronics headset for work (I work from home), and I can go out of the house and across the street to the mail box and no loss of connection.

I have had a Plantronics headset that was awesome for almost 20 years and planned to buy another. This is effectively the top-end newer version of what I previously had and unfortunately, they’ve mad it worse ergonomically. It looks really slick, but it’s SO UNCOMFORTABLE. The over the ear loops, even with the little cheap foam cushion they give you, hurts after about 20 minutes. I did not try the headband, because I specifically wanted an over the ear model. It’s too bad, because I could wear my old model (with a much better ear loop) all day without even feeling it. I ended up going with a Leitner model, so I would recommend lookin at that brand. This head set is very convenient. I can use it for my all my devices. I would recommend if you have long calls (4-8 hours) have multiple batteries. Mine came with 2 which suffices for home but at work I needed another battery.

I purchased a “brand new” product but this product came to me in a banged up box and used! I’m better off buying this product directly from the store.
