Kids' Broadway Songbook - Revised Edition Book/Online Audio (Vocal Collection)

My daughter's voice lesson teacher asked for us to buy this book and I did not think my daughter would enjoy singing classical songs. However, I was wrong. She loves signing these musical pieces. She is 9 years old and she also takes piano. She loves the "Tomorrow" song from Annie so much so that she learned to play the song on piano and combine her voice and piano together. I love anything that encourages and supports my daughters love of music. Also, another note was that this book was not available in our local music store. Thus, Amazon was my best source to purchase it from.

If your youngster is looking to audition for musicals, or if he or she just wants to sing for fun, this is a great book to buy! The songs are not too difficult, but they are still "real" musical songs. This isn't a book full of songs sang by cartoon characters! The accompaniment tracks are alright, too. I teach theatre and musical theatre to middle school students, and I've used songs out of this book a lot. I highly recommend it for the beginner.

This was the third copy of this book I have purchased. It is one of my best resources for young voice students because the songs have all been performed in shows by children. The songs are age appropriate and not too demanding on their young voices. I ordered this book from Amazon when I was unable to locate my other copies after moving. I am delighted that it is a revised edition and there are even more great songs!

Student loves this. She practices her voice in the car with this book by singing along with the CD and then can come to class ready and warmed up.

My daughter loves to sing, and it's great that it comes with an accompaniment CD. I play the piano and was able to learn several of the songs, but in the meantime while I was learning them, she was able to practice without me. Very good for audition pieces if you have a budding actor.

Good songs, nice arrangements. Was recommended by the singing teacher. I would like the CD to have the recordings of the actual songs as well as just the accompaniments, but maybe others would prefer being able to do their own interpretations and not listen to some other singer.

This is a good basic broadway book for beginning students in Elementary and Junior High. Three selections from Annie plus a couple of more challenging songs like Castle on the Cloud and the girl I mean to be. It says kids, but most songs are "girl" oriented.

Book was perfect for my 10 year old granddaughter. She loved it. She is. Ow learning many of the songs she wasn't familiar with.

Disappointing. I was hoping for a book of songs. This is a CD holder
