I run a business that has served over 90,000 customers in the many years we have been in business but out of all of these happy customers I have 4 customers that have given our business a 1 star rating on goole (would you say that this is a fair rating of my business.IBunnyShop acted most honorable and refunded the funds when I wrote them the following letter (only to give them some feedback and my faith that my problem was a fluke) asking for no refund or compensation. My wife purchased one of these in January 2018 and we loved it at first but right around mid-April the unit would start making the sound that a clutch will make on and electric drill if you have it set at a lower torque; on a drill you would just set the torque up a little more but on this device there is no such setting, so I would try to adjust the grind setting or empty the pepper corns and then refill the unit (thinking a particular pepper corn was just unusually hard). Some times by feddling with it for a minute I could get through my meal prep but it got to the point that the only way the unit would work consistently, for any length of time was to set it on a very fine grind. My wife purchased the unit as a present and it was meant for me to use with a course grind for grilling meats so that is how I used it. We had an electric pepper grinder from William Sonoma that was a wedding present (we just celebrated our 25 anniversary but for 24 years that pepper grinder worked perfectly the only problem I had with that unit was it used 6 AAA batteries and would go through them pretty fast but after 24 years it finally gave up the ghost. Now I grant you that the William Sonoma unit was much more expensive and maybe I am comparing apples to oranges and that’s not fair so I purchased another of your units and I am hoping that I just got a lemon. Just want to add one more thing I did also try putting another set of fresh Duracell batteries in the unit even though the current batteries did not seem weak at all but that changed nothing. This is a very honorable company, I never asked for a refund.

Easy to use!
I could never understand why my husband wanted a pepper grinder - pepper is pepper, right? But a few years ago, he asked me to order some better peppercorns instead of buying the ones at the grocery store. I chose "Four Peppercorn Rainbow Blend (here on Amazon), and to my surprise, I love the flavor of pepper now! I grew up using finely-ground McCormick's pepper from the red & white rectangular metal can, but now I would feel deprived if I couldn't use this freshly ground pepper. I'm almost "addicted" to it! I even bought a pepper grinder to keep at work so I can enjoy freshly-ground pepper at lunch, too. There might be even better peppercorns out there, but so far, we're really happy with these. My husband had me order some Szechuan red peppercorns, but I didn't care for them. They're not overly hot, but they had kind of a lemony flavor that seemed odd to me, and they also make your tongue kind of tingly/numb. Eventually even my husband got tired of it, plus, they didn't work very well in the pepper grinder because we didn't get the more expensive premium version that has removed the hard shells (or something like that). As for a pepper grinder, we had previously had one that you squeezed with your hand to grind up the pepper. That became difficult for my husband to use because he has lost mobility in his right hand, and it was painful for him to squeeze repeatedly to grind the pepper. I looked on Amazon and found a stainless steel Epare Battery-Operated Salt or Pepper Grinder. I've since bought a couple of other brands that look exactly the same, including this iBunny brand. Anyway, this type works well because he only has to press a button on the top, and the batteries do all the work. Not only that, it shines a light on the food so you can see how much pepper you have. The batteries last forever - about 2 years.

Worked great for few weeks then died
I read so many reviews on various electric grinders that I truly think something is inherently wrong with them. Reviews on this brand were either works great or did not work. I purchased due to mostly positive reviews. This brand worked for few weeks then would not grind. Product was only used few times per week. I shook product to possibly dislodge peppercorn, still not grinding. Took apart, still not grinding. Let sit for few weeks, then worked for few days before it stopped working. I know there was no shipping damage. Product packaged in nice, sturdy black box. I've reordered the OXO manual peppercorn grinder. I had that product for about 5-6 years, with extremely heavy use before shaft broke. OXO manual grinder is faster than electric grinder.

VERY Disappointed...at first, but the seller came through!
I really wanted this to work. We’re foodies and L-O-V-E pepper. So we were very happy to find this grinder at a reasonable price. One week into using it it started to chatter, and the chattering meant it wasn’t grinding pepper. A few days later we left for a 6 week trip to Florida and just returned last week. Unfortunately, the pepper mill did not fix itself. As a matter of fact it got worse...In the beginning the chattering was sporadic. (The chattering is due to the drive shaft slipping in the plastic receptor which is connected to the actual grinding mechanism.) When I returned from our trip, the chattering seem to occur most of the time. I tried loosening the plastic nut on the bottom of the grinder, but it didn’t help. It’s probably too late to return it. I really wished it had worked.P. S. I have a feeling this is not an isolated incident.UPDATE!!!Within a few hours of posting this review, the seller sent me a replacement. Claire, the Co-Founder of iBunnyShop was quick, thorough, and professional in resolving this issue. I look forward to the replacement and let you know how it works.Joe
